What People Say

In summary

Brookside Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, stunning views, and challenging layout, making it a popular choice for both casual and serious golfers. The clubhouse and dining options, particularly The Bog Tavern, receive high marks for their food and atmosphere. However, some visitors express concerns about the slow pace of play and occasional issues with staff interactions, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

This course was gorgeous. We decided to walk 9 which was probably not the best idea but we definitely got a workout and our steps in. Course was in great condition, I recommend just getting the cart ;)

Nice course, great layout. Greens, tee boxes, fairways are nice. Would recommend to take a cart, but if you want to challenge yourself— try walking this course.

Review for visit on July 8th, 2023: Had to edit this review because after a lovely day on Friday I decided to go again the next day on the Saturday. When I went buddy and I walked into the club house pro shop we entered saying “Hello again! We are here back after a great time yesterday” immediately we got berated by the pro-shop person saying we broke so many rules yesterday, playing more than 9, playing with a person not having a bag, and that our payment didn’t go through and all this stuff. He went so far to say that after our round we came in and started talking to him being all clueless a…

Had a great lunch with 5 friends today! Food, atmosphere and company was great! Waitress attentive, all enjoyed their meals. We all want to go back to the Tavern!!

When we visited last Sunday, it wasn't't for golf but for a meeting with someone to talk about having our wedding reception at the Golf Club. After our meeting, we decided on having lunch at The Bog Tavern, the bartenders, waitstaff and hostess were all very welcoming, made us feel at home and that they were there to take care of us. I was surprised with the number of people at the tavern for lunch, families and couples, not what I expected at a restaurant at a Golf Club. So I ordered the House-made Bloody Mary (it was infused vodka with bacon), bacon strips, lemon, limes, and a couple olives…

Really solid course. Lot's of elevation changes, some challenging and some interesting, unique holes. Greens in great shape. Definitely recommend for low-high handicappers. The homes are TIGHTLY packed around golf course! Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Been coming here for years off and on. Great course and challenging. However the front desk staff at the pro shop need to relax (it’s not pebble beach). Showed up right on time for t time and was told I was late after driving 3 hours. (3 guys) Then payed a sky high rate to get paired with another 2 and told we could not just play 9. Start treating customers who are paying these rates a little more respectful and I’ll go back. For now, look else here.

What a fabulous meal we had here on Father’s Day. Dining outside looking over the golf course, while listening to a guitarist. Do you love Bloody Mary’s? They have a separate menu to check off your garnishes, just for that!

Probably doesn’t help that cape traffic is sooo horrible getting to this particular course but on top of that the track itself is such an odd layout and poor design in my opinion. Also the pace of play was miserable and thats with them having a ranger. We had 4 groups on one hole at one time. This course would be ok if they charged 60 dollars but to pay twice that?! No thanks. First and last time playing here. Greens and fairways were in good shape hence it not getting one star.

Always a great meal here! The manager was super friendly and polite! Excellent cozy atmosphere with a fireplace too! I absolutely love the buffalo chicken dip, we get it as an appetizer every time. Tonight I had one of the house specials, the Tuna Sashimi and I highly recommend it! The carrott and ginger slaw on top was a perfect pairing. Also, there was a beautiful sunset tonight and we had a perfect view! Can't wait to go back soon!

The course conditions were good fairways were well kept, greens rolled smoothly, and overall maintenance showed real care. The layout itself was solid, offering a fair mix of challenges without being overly tricky. Unfortunately, the major drawback was the pace of play. The round moved extremely slow with long waits on most holes, which made what should have been an enjoyable day feel dragged out and frustrating at times. While I’d return for the quality of the course itself, the slow pace overshadowed much of the experience. With better management of tee times and player flow, this could eas…

Loved the course. Public, not expensive but not cheap. Able to rent clubs. Recommend a cart, hilly course that is tough on the legs.
