In summary

Sycamore Springs Golf Course is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, well-maintained fairways, and challenging yet accessible layout. Many visitors appreciate the reasonable pricing and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both beginners and experienced golfers. However, some guests have reported issues with staff rudeness and inadequate cart availability during events, which can detract from the overall experience.

Today was my first time playing the course and it was a great experience! The price for 18 with a cart relative to the condition of the course was really reasonable. And getting to the course, it looked really nice! The fairways were well-groomed and the greens were quick and true. I would definitely recommend Sycamore!

Played here for the first time. The course was in nice condition, but the clubhouse staff was not so nice. Drove around an hour to play this course. We hit our tee shots on hole one and drove our carts to our balls. A guy in the clubhouse came out and screamed at us for driving off of the cart path instead of having a civilized conversation. He said we were told in the clubhouse that it was cart path only and they had signs all over saying that. There was one sign on the way from the parking lot to the clubhouse and we were never told when we checked in. We saw him again towards the end of the…

Quite simply the most unprofessional course I’ve ever had the “pleasure” to play. Our group made a mistake on the first hole and were told by surrounding players that it was cart path only at which we acknowledged and were planning to correct. Before we had a chance Dean came storming out of the clubhouse like a 5 year old waking up from a nap and I’m not exaggerating this because any 5 year old I’ve been around has acted more professionally and respectful than this clown. Please stay far away from Dean and this course and spend your money literally anywhere else…..

Sycamore Springs Golf Course recently hosted the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Girls District Tournament, attracting many grandparents eager to watch their granddaughters play. However, the course’s poor distribution of spectator carts left many disappointed. We arrived an hour before the first tee time, only to find ourselves in a long line to secure a cart. Despite our efforts, the line barely moved, and we were informed that there were no more carts available. This was puzzling, considering the anticipated crowd. When inquired about the lack of carts, the staff member resp…

Beautiful course. Everything was in great condition. Tee boxes were better than some golf course's greens. Pace of play was awful but it was a Friday on Labor Day Weekend...so that was expected. Drove an hour and a half and was not disappointed. For sure will be back.

Course was in great shape. Tee boxes and bunkers very well maintained. I golf a lot and usually not at the same course. Highly recommend this one.

Went July 5th, first time at the course. It is in great shape, pro shop was super nice. Greens are beautiful. Great shape and green grass for the beginning of July. Will definitely be back.

This place was a nightmare in khakis. The staff greeted us like we’d just insulted their families. One guy in the pro shop rolled his eyes so hard I thought he was having a medical emergency. The course looked like it hadn’t seen water, or effort since 2008. The greens were brown, the fairways were dirt, and the sand traps? Literal gravel pits. I lost a wedge and part of my soul in one. A grumpy bald marshal charged us $40 just for the golf carts. Not sure if he was bored or just hates joy. If you enjoy bad attitudes and post-apocalyptic landscaping, this place is perfect. Otherwise, run.

We were here for a high school girls event. The course is cute but the staff was incredibly rude. I read through the reviews before posting to see if this was a just a bad day or a way of conducting business. Unfortunately, it seems like a common theme for this course.

Great public course that is very accessible for play and location just south of Findlay. Front nine is more open from trees and the back nine is much tighter thru corridors. Always in great condition, with a challenging layout and silky smooth greens. Highly recommend this property, also great for outings. I suggest no singles on weekends unless you're willing to be paired for pace of play and etiquette.

1st time I've played here. I've played golf courses across the country. Private and public. This course rates to be one of the best. The condition of the course was amazing! For a public course the greens and fairways were top notch. The greens held and putted true. The fairways were cut tight and nice. The people who worked there were very friendly and helpful. I asked the Pro what was the membership for a single senior and I was amazed of the cost. Almost unbelievable and very reasonable. Before leaving I told the Pro that he should keep his greenskeeper buy any means. Lol. I will be back to…

My brother and I went here for the first time on 3/4/24. We wish we would have found this place sooner!!! We are beginners at golf this will be our first full season. We tried this course because everywhere else we have been that we liked was closed. Boy are we glad that we did super friendly staff!!! Beautiful course!!! At about 5:45 the staff came around and let us know since it was March they liked to have the carts back at 5:30 due to it getting dark. With us being new and it being the first nice day in March we didn't realize that and where just trying to get the most out of the daylight.…
