In summary

Stone-E-Lea Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, reasonable pricing, and enjoyable course layout that offers a good balance of challenge and playability for golfers of various skill levels. The greens and tee boxes are generally well-maintained, although some visitors report that the fairways and overall course conditions can be inconsistent, with issues such as patchy fairways and rocky terrain. While many find it a good value for the price, others have experienced dissatisfaction with customer service policies and occasional course closures for private events.

Played here on Memorial Day 2026 for the first time. It’s about 15 minutes from me, closer than some of the other courses I play. I booked for 4 and had to pay $184 in greens fees when I booked before the holiday weekend. Sure, makes sense. But it wasn’t a textbook 80 degree Memorial Day, it actually poured and wasn’t ideal. They didn’t care, I was on the hook for my 2 friends that cancelled due to crappy weather. I tried to get my own cart but they said sorry no, 2 people to a cart. Which I get, but there was no one here. We literally hit twice off tee boxes because we could. Drinks and food…

Tee box in decent shape. Greens in good shape. Everything else very poor condition. Picture below reflects what all their “fairways” look like. I played mid August. Dog track of a course. Very unfortunate because course has plenty of potential if they invested in It.

A very good deal! The conditions aren't ideal, but it's totally serviceable and since I paid $21 for 9, who am I to complain? I've yet to find a cheaper rate near me. It's a fun layout with some solid challenges interspersed.

Love this course, the people here are amazing and the course is also spectacular. I’ve really enjoyed playing here this season. Even got a glimpse of a rare occurrence - a bear on Hole 17! Can’t go wrong with Stone-E-Lea!

The greens are decent , fairways are very bad, (Stoney) pace of play and customer service is awful as well. They prioritize leagues above all . Me and a friend teed off super early to avoid any slow play and get home early …. They then threw multiple slow groups in front of us at 10 to not slow down their league's , AND an employee came and made us swap our carts with him in the middle of the 15th hole . Rushing us off our carts and touching our personal belongings MID HOLE . 👎🏼

Was starting to warm up to this course, but became very disappointed in this place the last two Saturdays in a row. I can't golf until late afternoon and chose Stone E Lea as my golf course of choice. Drove down there only to find out the course was closed for private events. I felt like Chevy Chase when he got to Wally World; the entire course was closed. Not even the back 9 was left open; nothing. Both Saturdays were beautiful out and likely the last nice Saturdays of the season. Since it was so late in the afternoon, I didn't have enough daylight to go to another course so my golfing oppor…

Service: 1/5 (Only 1 cause someone actually helped me) Extremely disappointed with my experience here...been playing at this course for years now and officially will not be returning. Called ahead to speak with someone about available tee times, and was greeted with short & rude answers to my simple question. I've personally worked in the hospitality business, and have an understanding for "bad days" or if someone is not on their "A game"....but this was completely unacceptable. Then upon arrival, I waited at the counter to pay for nearly 15 minutes before anyone even asked how they could hel…
