In summary

St. Ann Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and suitability for beginner and intermediate players, with a layout that is easy to walk and play. The course is generally well-maintained for a municipal facility, offering a pleasant setting, especially during quieter times. However, some visitors have raised concerns about the condition of the greens and occasional slow pace of play.

Unfortunately the greens haven't changed in over three years. The groundskeeper must be blind. These are bar none the worst greens in all of St Louis. It's not even close. The only benefit here is the price of play. Otherwise there's no value to the course. It's a cow pasture with disease ridden greens and mud bunkers. Great for cheap practice rounds as long as you disregard the greens being unusable. There are other options close by that actually try to provide a decent product. Two stars was a generous review.

Just started playing this course this year (2025). We really enjoy playing it. The staff is always friendly and the course has been in great shape all around for a municipal course. It is a fun course to play! Worth checking out if you haven't played it yet.

On the plus: low cost, staff friendly, open and easy course to play, easy accessible, views were nice from several tees (see pics). On the minus: worst greens ever seen on a course (see pics)

Cheap price but was majorly slowed down by groups in front of us. The course is ok but low price makes up for bare spots on greens

St. Ann may not be the prettiest or best maintained courses in the area, but I really like it. The staff is terrific, and booking through the Golf now app, the fees aren't breaking the bank. I feel comfortable playing there, no snobbery, or pretention like at the fancy country clubs. Also, the fairways are spacious with no close houses to worry about hitting.

Played here on 04/17/24 great round, great pace of play, can’t beat the quality for the cost, it’s a great value. Also, we had accidentally left a range finder and the guy responsible for cleaning the carts brought the forgotten range finder right over and asked if it was ours. Great experience all around and very appreciative for the honesty, thank you!!

This used to be a great walk on course after work. Some of the worst greens and tee boxes but after work and you could walk on it was great. As of this year they now require you make a tee time, even if no one is there. If I have to make a tee time I might as well go somewhere better. Used to be a regular 2-3 times a week for years. No longer playing here

Great place for nine holes -- inexpensive, Groupon-friendly, hospitable staff! Ask for Mark Ryan, the club pro will take very good care of you ⛳🏌

Great course for walking and practice-rounds. The course is a little rough, but if you're looking to walk 9 holes and get some practice in, this is a great option at a good price. Also, not having tee-times is surprisingly a nice feature. So far we've gone twice and just walked up to a small line at the #1 tee, but we teed off within 10-15 minutes. It seems like the clientele here understands ready-golf and how not to take up an entire Saturday. The one real downside is that my daughter has beat me both times we've gone!
