In summary

Split Rail Links & Golf Club is praised for its impressive layout, friendly staff, and enjoyable golfing experience, with some visitors highlighting the lush fairways and well-maintained greens. However, several reviews point out issues with course conditions, particularly in the front nine, where fairways have been reported as muddy and torn up, detracting from the overall playability. Despite these concerns, many golfers appreciate the course's improvements and continue to recommend it for its challenging design and welcoming atmosphere.

Split Rail Golf Course has one of the best layouts and acreage wise is one of the larger courses in the area. It went thru some challenges over the past few years but is now well on lts way back to becoming a great course again. Michael, Israel, Clifford and others in the Pro-shop are great guys to deal with. Sam the new GM really knows all about golf course management from every aspect and has a proven track record from Trune Golf. Leigh runs the bar and grill and other duties and she is the best in the industry. I highly recommend puting Split Rail on your weekly place to play if you are loc…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Split Rail Golf Club in Aledo is an absolute gem! The course is always in great shape with lush fairways, smooth greens, and a layout that’s both challenging and fun for all skill levels. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive — they truly make you feel like part of the club. The practice facilities are top-notch, and the pace of play is always great. Whether you’re out for a casual round with friends or something more competitive, Split Rail delivers every time. Highly recommend this course to anyone looking for one of the best golf experiences in…

Played here yesterday. The course was in pretty nice condition considering we just got hammered with rain all week. We arrived a little early and hit the range $7 for a bag of about 50 balls wasn’t bad at all. They have a nice long putting area that gives you a pretty good read on what the following 18 greens will be like. The course definitely has the potential to be challenging with rolling hills and bunkers sprinkled throughout. Tons of wildlife to enjoy while making your way around the course. The back 9 has a nice surprise for a photo op. The ladies at the bar were very friendly and so wa…

Went out the other day with a well known professional athlete from the Dallas area that we share membership from the same country club and we absolutely loved it! The course is a gem and the greens are terrific. A couple of bad spots in the outside roughs that they are currently working on and should be ready in a few months for spring play, but again not in the fairways. Staff was amazing with nothing but smiles! We will definitely be back and it will be apart of our rotation when we are away from our club!!!! Loved it! 🏌‍♂️⛳️- Jeff

I had friends come in from out of state for a weekend of golf. I called Split Rail a week before we played and asked how the course was looking, if they had recently aerated the greens or fairways, anything that would deter from the course being in good shape. I was told, no, the course was in great shape. I booked a tee time for 4. When we arrived they told us that Hole 10 had some work going on and they have shortened the normal par 4 to a 150yd par 3. Not a huge in convince but something that should have been relayed to me on the phone I think, you know, that one of your holes is in such d…

We had our wedding reception here & it was the best experience! Leigh is awesome to work with and the club house is so beautiful it took minimal decorations to make it wedding ready. Highly recommend having your events here!

Went to split rail On Saturday with a group of friends after seeing the photos posted on Facebook. These photos portray nothing but complete falsities! When walking into the Pro Shop it seems as though it will be a very nice course, that is where it ends! First of all the course charges $70!! There is no military or first responder discount nor any discount for the course being in absolute disrepair!! The front 9 is almost UNPLAYABLE due to how heavily the fairways have been torn up by tractors and most are impassible due to the mud mounds and dirt piles. The fact that this course is still cha…

The course is in great shape. Proshop was friendly and our group enjoyed a very relaxed round of golf. Carts are quick and no GPS out of bounds issues to deal with. The boys will get that reference. Overall, great experience we will definitely play again soon. Hitem straight!

Have heard nothing but bad things recently about this course so I had very low expectations when I went to play today . I was impressed with the improvement that has occurred . Tee boxes and greens are in great shape. Fairways are the best I have seen them in over a year . Rough is thick and healthy but nothing out of the norm from other courses in the metroplex . Will be putting Split Rail back in my golf course rotation !

How is this course rated poorly? The rough is very deep and challenging, but the fairways and greens are very well kept. I have avoided playing here because of the reviews, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. We thoroughly enjoyed our round.

Horrible bunkers, decent greens, bad fairways, bad tee boxes. What more could you want for a cheap price of 70 dollars.

Bruh.. the front 9 literally looks like it has a dirt bike and atv track going through it. The back 9 is better, but not good enough that id go back honestly. If they fix the fron 9 then it may be worth it.
