In summary

South Park Golf Club is appreciated for its affordability and friendly staff, making it a convenient choice for local golfers looking to practice. The course is noted for its natural beauty and straightforward layout, though some visitors find the signage and navigation between holes confusing. However, there are concerns about the overall condition of the greens and fairways, as well as issues with goose droppings and bugs, which can detract from the experience.

Pros: Greens fees are $16. You can walk on pretty much whenever you want. The staff is friendly. Cons: Aside from the greens the course is in rough shape. I know we’ve had a dry summer, but I’ve played many other courses that are in great condition. I was also surprised that the cart fees are as much as the greens fees. I made the mistake of walking this course my first time out and while it is not a long course it is a looong walk from 5 to 6 while dodging goose poop. I would really love to see the Buffalo Olmsted Park System spend some money to spruce up this course.

Took my son there on 8/3 for a quick nine. The course is in terrible condition. Big weed clumps all over the place. Geese dropping all over the grass. The greens are all beat up. And what happened to the putting green? I know it's a public course but man what happened?

I live right up the street so it's my go to for walking 9. It's not the greatest course ever, and it's not super challenging, but it's great for practice. Staff is cool as well.

In my opinion, it's a good golf course for practicing certain skills (like driving across the water on hole number 4. The course does not have any hole that is par 5. Although, in my opinion, hole 6 is comparable to a par 5 (dogleg left). Also, in my opinion, the clubhouse could use a renovation. But overall it's a nice course for the price.

5/5 for the natural beauty of the course but score must be lower due to the state of the greens and fairways.

The garden is cool but I think it should be a park for public not a hold course where you can not even walk to the lake without a$$holes hitting balls at you and yelling about walking anywhere around the place! 100 people want to enjoy the views but you will have 12 old people playing golf instead of being able to enjoy any of the outside views! If they made into a nature park it would be the coolest place around the area by a mile!!!

Went here to golf a quick 9 holes. I usually golf earlier to beat the crowd on the weekends. Course was ok considering the price. $15/walking. Greens are not challenging at all. Very flat with little roll. One thing I do suggest is bringing bug spray as their tons of bugs due to the lake. Layout of the course is strange and confusing. You literally walk around have the park to get from hole 5 to hole 6. If you're really itching to golf and have a free morning, this course may be worth a visit.

Celebrated Easter inside for years until Erie County bought building. Threw our 5 churches outside when we couldn't afford 5000 an hour to use it. Gave us outside gazebo in freezing weather. Guess there's no room in the inn. Kinda fitting to be outside with animals on day of rebirth I guess but shame on Erie County. Many elderly and children can't tolerate weather. Will never go inside or support again😡. Bad form botanicals

1st bad experience in 8 years. The gentleman who was cashing us out was extremely rude. We were told we needed two tee times to be able to play 18 holes. We have never been made aware of this nor have we had to any other time this year.
