What People Say

In summary

Seneca Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained grounds, challenging layout, and reasonable fees, making it an appealing option for golfers in the area. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about overbooking, rushed play, and inconsistent staff interactions, which can impact the overall experience. While the course's condition and value are generally appreciated, the management of tee times and pace of play are areas noted for improvement.

Terrible place and the people that work there, need to learn how to not over book. Paid for 18 holes and only got to play 15 and was rushed the whole time there. No team behind us and no team in front of us and we had to move up to holes for what reason ? At whole 13 we have been playing for 2:10 mins. Learn how to not overbook, I got no money back even for doing what the asked of us. Will not be back.

I love this course but there’s always some things I don’t like so much. Firstly, the course layout and environment is unmatched. The play through time is roughly 4 1/2 - 5 hours for all 18 . The things I personally am not a huge fan of is the staff, people aren’t always going to wear the top their golf attire as this isn’t a top tier golf course. It’s not forced here but pro-shop workers like to talk behind your back. I also wasn’t a fan of the ranger telling us to speed it up when we have a walking 4 some playing right in front of us. Other than the simple little things that don’t ruin the ex…

Well-maintained golf course with rolling hills and tricky greens. It’s a high-quality public course with very reasonable green fees.

Had an 8:30 T time on Saturday. Customer service at check in was excellent and very informative as this was our first time to play this course. Fees were very reasonable. Employees were friendly and helpful. The course was in great shape and well maintained. Some of the Tee boxes were well worn but for a public course played as much as this one, it was to be expected. It didn't impact our game at all. We played in under 4 hours. Course was paced but the Pace was maintained by courteous marshals. We plan to return soon.

Great municipal course and in great shape for the price. It tends to be a bit crowded on weekends but you just have to expect that. The course is laid out in a challenging yet not unpleasant way which makes for an entertaining and rewarding round.

Quite a few problems here. When checking in, we were told the tee time we booked no longer exists and was taken by someone else. We show him the confirmation email, and he acts very dismissive towards us and is irritated that he has to “squeeze us in”. He then asks if we’re all here (15mins prior to tee time) and then scolds us and marks us as “very late” because one person was in the parking lot and the other was pulling in. This older gentleman was quite rude; he had a hostile attitude towards us the minute we walked in, I believe because we’re young adults. There was a line to tee off anywa…

They over book on the weekends and rush your round like no other. Finished 18 in 4:06 minutes and had the Marshall try and speed us up twice. Pro said they had booked 300 groups on Sunday - that’s 40 hours of tee times for 12 hours of daylight.

Horrible experience today. Tee time at 7:04am. Told twice that we were two holes behind and pace of play is to keep up with the group in front of you. Group in front of us tee’d off at 6:50 before the course opens. Finished the front nine at approx 9:10 and came off 18 at 11:15. The Marshall and Pro made our experience miserable and had no understanding of our actual pace. Both completely belligerent. Course was in good shape but don’t play here unless you’re a scratch golfer and hit all your fairways so you can keep up. Staff was dismal at best. Gave us a 9 hole credit but who cares when you…

Ranger was rushing us to play faster, but we're not very good and their rough is about 5 inches long and all clover so it's nearly impossible to find your golf ball. This guy was really aggressive with us. Very off-putting. If you want groups to play faster, maintain your course better.

The course is nice, communication is not so strong. The web site says the driving range is open on Wednesdays until close, that's not the case. The range closes at 5 pm on Wednesday's for maintenance, which also seems like terrible timing, closing during your busiest time to do something that could be done during the day. Also, put the actual schedule online.

Clubhouse manager had a temper tantrum when I arrived 6 minutes before my tee time. Got in my face and yelled at me because I asked him to calm down and speak to me like an adult. The childish and short tempered man had an outburst about how I must show up 15 minutes before my tee time because they were backed up and threatened to cancel my tee time (after I had already payed) and also threatened to never let me come back. All this just to arrive at the 1st tee box and wait 8 minutes before I could tee off. All that for nothing.

Fantastic park with great scenery and a nice bike trail. I went here for golf and had a pleasant time playing with the locals.
