In summary

San Carlos Golf Course is generally appreciated for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and enjoyable layout that offers a fair challenge without being overly difficult. Many visitors commend the course conditions and the accommodating nature of the staff, particularly in handling tee times and inquiries. However, some guests have experienced issues with booking processes, inconsistent policies, and slow pace of play, which can detract from the overall experience.

Mid May the course was in great shape. It is not a very difficult. Only a couple holes required lay up shots. Greens roll real nice. All staff we met was super friendly. Early tee times to beat the heat.

Course was in good shape for a public Florida course during a drought. Now, regarding staff. We golfed at 4:04 on Feb 26th. Got there and receiving guys taking bags did not have our names on list for a Tee Time. Said someone else had that Tee Time. He gets updated list from clubhouse and surprise we were listed. Overbooking? Maybe? Ranger for the evening mentioned to my husband that next time he needed a collared shirt. We don't live in Florida, and the website showed a shirt with sleeves not a collared shirt. Same ranger also grumbled because people come to practice at the sand trap and putti…

Don’t typically write reviews, but my experience at this course was unpleasant. Started with the booking - Tried to go online to save a few bucks as online booking was 30$ less per person. Entered all my information, including my CC only to get the spinning wheel and a message saying system was not accepting reservations. So I tried a different tee time - — same message. Call the clubhouse the guy tells me “ If you can get it to go through you can get that price” that clearly tells me he knows it is an issue. If you can’t book online, then don’t offer it as an option! Get to the clubhouse, tel…

Very helpful and friendly staff who promptly replied to my inquiries in the days ahead of my tee-time, as well as the day of. They accommodated my request to tee off 45mins earlier with another group if I were able to arrive earlier. I couldn't be happier about that, because I was in the 3rd last group to have finished 18 despite teeing off at 1:56pm. The rental clubs they have are fantastic, and they had options for preferred flex/stiffness. The putter was the best I've ever rented. My only issue was that the club rental price $57 after taxes) was nearly as much as the rate I paid for my rou…

If you enjoy 5+hr. rounds of golf this is the place for you. 8 to 12 people every tee box waiting on the group ahead was the norm.. The highlight: A killer frat party on the back nine, was like playing on the LIV tour. The “Marshall “would drive-by and wave as the GPS says 48 minutes behind on pace of play. Get what you pay for, lesson learned

First time playing San Carlos Golf Club and I was impressed. The staff in the pro shop, cart area and the starter were all very friendly and helpful. The course is very playable and the greens were in great shape. Our foursome tee time was 10:12 and we played in 4 hours and 10 minutes. I will play there again.

A scam they advertise one price online and then they charge you nearly double when you go to pay. Do not recommend it, will never go there again. I saw a rate on Thursday called them up to book it. They took my name and information and when we got there Friday morning, they charged $55 more. Canceled my credit card payment. Now we can fight about it. Good old-fashioned Bait and switch.

After a major travel delay, mgt was very forgiving. My daughter and I were welcomed, and staff was great. The course is very impressive with off fairway and bunker balls very playable. My second used club was a rake and only lost one ball due to skyhooking😁. Greens are like glass, and we look forward to visiting again.

This is a Very OK course. Flat, not much water, not very challenging except for some long par 4 s . Apparently the regulars that I played with said that the course conditions were great until Dec / Jan ? It is OK now, there are a few rough patches both on and off the greens. Probably was not worth the $90 but it is in season so it is what it is. I will say the beer on the course was Cheap, and the little breakfast sandwhich I had was very reasonably, tasted good enough. Was missing service with a smile. The rest of the staff were friendly enough. The restaurant is old, like the old Bushwood co…

None of the staff actually knows what’s going on. They need to be educated. They have policies that are inconsistent between staff members, website and in person. They won’t allow us onto the course because we had to share a set of clubs under a travel circumstance. We’ve already payed for our round. I have played golf all over the United States and never dealt with this.

Course is in pretty average condition. Employees are great and nice. Player owned club and the price is reflective of such- buy ownership and play golf cheap, not an owner then pay alot. $170 per person w cart for 18. Facility is dilapidated, price for golf is way over priced.

This is a great old Florida neighborhood golf course that is well taken care of and offers enough challenge to make your play interesting. Afternoons can be busy.
