Almost worth 4.5 stars. Challenging layout, and usually in excellent condition. Staff is friendly and accommodating from my experience, and I've never had any bad experiences here. One thing to note is that this is very much a tactical layout, and you won't have many opportunities to air out your driver. Get comfortable with whatever club it takes to send the ball 220 yards or so, because you'll be doing that a lot! Many hills and doglegs, and take a cart because you'll need mountain goat genetics to attempt walking! Keep yourself below the hole, and you'll have a chance to score well. Some re…

Unfortunately this review is not going to sound kind! First off its 60+ bucks to play 18 and a cart. Pros: views are awesome and greens are in great shape! Cons: burnt out grass, overgrown bunkers and not raked, fairways are bad, lots of spots in the rough it appears that crab grass has over taken the area, very spotty and lots of dead spots, pace of play is bad, and its run by young adults who i dont believe care to be there nor the course. Its apparent by the quality and upkeep of the course! They'd rather talk amongst themselves and have no clue what's going on there. I tried to get tee tim…

Been going to Salt Fork park for 5 years now. We rent cabins and play a lot of golf and really enjoy the area. The course is the worst we've seen. The course is tough with every hole going down and up with crazy elevations, but the fairways are so bad, like a combination of dried cracked mud, some grass spots, and sprinkle in some dirt. You never stand on flat land so hitting clean shots is a task itself. Chunking or blading a lot of shots became normal. Surprisingly, the greens are in very good shape, and extremely tough breaks so putting is not easy. I gave 1 star for the greens, otherwise…

Ill give it a star for the employees and a star for the greens/hole layouts. My buddies and I played this course in july and we played every inch of it. The greens were punched maybe a week or 2 ago it seemed and they rolled true, but the problem was the fairway conditions and the health of the course overall or lack there of. Really need to close down or open late and bulldoze several fairways and just start over bc of how bad of shape they are.

Start off with the range being closed. Was told “oh it’s closed today”. Range looks like it’s been closed all year lol. Fairways were absolutely awful. Was told it was a “fungus”. Which may be true but there were other issues like overgrown trees, rough looked awful and not taken care of. Certain food at the turn was unavailable and what was available was garbage. For almost 50 bucks during the week this was a complete joke.

The only reason it gets a one star is the greens were nice but the rest of the course is horrible. They need to lower the prices till they fix this golf course. I expected so much more from such a beautiful park.

If there were a 0 or negative star rating, that would be closer to what this course deserves. I understand we have drought conditions, however, in the past 2 months we’ve played all over Southeast Ohio and Salt Fork has the worst conditions BY FAR! Fairways have little to no grass, tee boxes are torn completely up or no grass at all. Greens are decent, that’s about all I can say good about the course. By the way, they are still charging full price ($55 + tax), don’t waste your time or your money.

Tough course but a fun go after. We 2 man scrambled the weekend never playing the course. We shot 76 day one & 73 day two. Balls do plug bcuz of elevation! You could cut so many corners which makes this course alot of fun if you drive the ball 265-280. Highly recommended atleast 2 rounds of 18.

Been going to Salt Fork State Park for a yearly golf trip for the past three years now. Hitting up multiple courses during the week just to lead up to perfect stay and play weekend at Salt Fork. Although the course can get challenging it is definitely one of the best maintained courses I’ve played. Even with the group getting rowdy on occasion, words can’t describe how professional and understanding the employees are. Plan on coming back every year that I can.

Instant favorite of mine. I spent the weekend and after 9 holes called my son a told him he had to come down and play 18 with me the next morning. Great course if you know your club distances and how to club up for elevated greens. True rolling greens. Really fun course.

The fairways were terrible, the bathrooms in the clubhouse and on the course looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months,it was not worth the 60 dollar green fee

Very well taken care of greens and fairway, only complaint would be narrow fairway from almost all 18 holes, almost all of them dogleg. Had a fun time playing though it was worth the challenge even as a okay golfer. Not a single flat green either so putting is a challenge.
