Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club

I am visiting for from California to see my son & spending some time playing golf. We picked Royal Lakes from a recommendation from a playing partner earlier in the week. The area as you drive into the club complex is beautiful with stately houses and manicured properties surrounding the course as you play. The view of these homes makes for a great day no matter how your golf game is working out. I will breakdown my overall experience of Royal Lakes by segmenting each area. 5 - Clubhouse, staff, practice areas. Royal Lakes is a good golf course, from layout to course conditions. However, the bone of contention is still their greens and drainage on the fringes. They have not recovered from the summer of 2022. With that don’t expect the best chipping situations, putting service or best reads. The club house has been renovated and the bar area is well stocked with beer and good whiskey. Now I’m a little disappointed in the price for a round, especially with the condition of most their greens. I don’t highly recommend but I will recommend for a practice round.

Course was great, harder then a few others in the area simply because the water comes into play when you don't know it. Food was amazing at the clubhouse and well priced. Only thing the course needs is a score card with hole pictures to help with the hazards.

The Clubhouse at the Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club was a beautiful venue for our son & daughter-in-law's recent rehearsal dinner. The Clubhouse was spacious enough for our guests (almost 50) to move about easily, yet warm and cozy with the wood accents, stone fireplace, and beautiful views of the golf course and lake. GM Michael Curley, Mike, and their team were very helpful while planning and during the event, and everyone enjoyed the delicious food and time together. Thank you! Jim & Karen Meeks

Great golf club! Not an easy course, but if they’d drain the lakes…. I did get my first ever hole in one here in July - so we like #17!

new owners also own The Stag downtown and Caroline’s and this is now one of the nicest restaurants in Hall county. Amazing dishes and service with a beautiful view.

Nice driving range and golf course. Prices have gone up but still a good place to play.

I am a member, everyone is so friendly and helpful, food also, great.

Greens are under serious repair condition. I would avoid this course until end of the year. They sold tee times on Golfnow without aerification warnings. Poor management.

Very beautiful and satisfying course. Greens are on the slower side but I don't care.

Great course, very challenging. Had cocktails and dinner outside on the patio by the practice green. Food, service, and music were fantastic.
