What People Say

In summary

Rondout Golf Club, designed by King Collins, is praised for its beautifully maintained course, unique and challenging layout with large undulating greens, and friendly, accommodating staff. The scenic setting and creative design make it a standout experience for many golfers. However, some visitors find the layout confusing, particularly with the lack of signage and multiple pins on shared greens, and consider the greens fees to be high for a 9-hole course.

It’s a beautiful course but the layout is a bit confusing. Getting from hole to hole is more challenging than it should be, they need to add more signs and markers. There are also now two holes / flags on each green, so that if you want to play 18, you can play the different pin locations. I probably would feel slighted if I paid the heavy greens fees for 18, just to play the same holes again. Staff was very helpful and it’s a super nice and well maintained course. Worth trying out, just make sure you grab a map.

It’s a beautiful course but 4.9 is very unrealistic. At 90 dollars for 9 holes I expect a few things- yardage markers for starters! No hole markers on the course or GPS is already a stark difference to nice courses but very very few markers makes for a frustrating round. Secondly, the layout is extremely confusing. Having to hit over the folks on the practice putting green is an absolute no and 2 shared greens on 9 holes is… eh. Gorgeous place, well kept otherwise it would get 2 or 3 stars for the price. Sorry!

This is a hidden gem in the northeast. The King Collins design is unlike any other 9-hole course you’ll find in Upstate NY. The undulating greens ensure you’ll be challenged from start to finish round after round. Highly recommend playing. The staff were incredible as well.

First King Collins track and was blown away. Super playable off the tee but the greens are diabolical. Course has matured really well. Staff are top notch. Get up here.

Pricey, but so much fun. A great layout with vast undulating green complexes. Holes blend together with expansive fairways while hazards are left to grow wild which creates a unique feel. Good shots are rewarded, but you’ll get into trouble if you miss your mark. It’s a 9 hole course (I wish it was 18), but interesting enough that I had to make the turn and play another 9.

What an incredible morning at Inness in Accord, NY. Such an amazingly fun golf course. If you get a chance, definitely go! Staff was incredibly friendly and made every second of my visit enjoyable. Totally worth the drive up from NJ. I’ll definitely be heading back up there soon.

We were passing through the area, and me and my kids wanted to experience golf in the area. We were all pleasently surprised with Inness Golf Course. The landscape is beautiful, and the staff could not have been more hospitable and kind. The golf course itself is a masterpiece, designed with creativity and a deep respect for the natural surroundings. Each hole presents a unique challenge and requires strategic thinking, making every round an engaging and enjoyable adventure. If you miss your spots with the approach, you will be chipping back up to the hole. WARNING: If you are looking for a st…

Amazing course unlike anything you've likely played before. Grass is still growing in but it was playing firm and fast. Be ready to have some crazy putts.

Great 9 hole King/Collins track. HUGE undulating greens. Place is a lot of fun just have an open mind. Would be a great destination for buddies trip/match play. Jeff in the shop was great. 2 pins on certain greens would add to the experience.

I have never read so many paid reviews in one location! I'm sure the place is nice, but Rondout Golf course was a great track to play, it was affordable to regular people, and it was gorgeous to behold. This 9 hole replacement project can't touch the course that was lost.

Had a Preview Round at the Inness Golf Course today, and it was great! Beautiful wide fairways, scary, deep sand traps, HUGE undulating greens. A great nine hole course!
