River Marsh Golf Club - Hyatt Chesapeake Bay

Nice course, with a decent layout. Great views on the course. Typically greens roll well, but last time I played was a few weeks after aeration. Seems a little late in the year for it (played mid-Dec). Winter rates are cheaper and make it a decent time to play, especiallyif you can get a random warm day. I hadn't played here in a couple of years, they are building a TON of houses all over the course.

Course is a really fun layout and scenic. However there are some maintenance issues. It hadn’t rained in multiple days yet the bunker on 17(among many others on the course), one of the premier holes on the course was a lake. Many tee boxes were also over run with weeds. This course could be incredible if the weeds across the whole of the course and drainage could be handled.

Really enjoyed the course. Lots of interesting holes. The course was difficult but fair and I should have listened to the staff member who said it's much better to be long on 17 and to hit one more club than you think you need. Staff was very customer service forward. My only quibble was the lack of poker chips but I was told that would be remedied. Definitely recommend.

First time but not the last! We drove 80 miles to play golf—no regrets! It’s a beautiful and challenging course that is in pretty good shape. We highly recommend playing a round or two.

Perfect spongy greens and a manicured course await you at River Marsh. Most holes are similar, with a sand trap heavy layout. The last two water holes are picturesque and offer a superb golfer's experience. Get an early tee time and bombs away.

Love this golf course ! Layout is challenging but not super long, conditions were ideal. Very scenic holes throughout the course.Worth the drive to get here. I’m sure you’re going to be glad to decided to play here.

We’ve played this course several times in the past but hadn’t played it in a few years. It seems like it has fallen into disrepair. The greens were not well kept - full of crab grass and ball marks. Several tee boxes had high grasses and reeds that impaired drives and needed to be trimmed. The bunkers were not groomed -some had crabgrass and weeds growing in them, none appeared to have had any fresh sand, all were like cement. For the price and the fact that it is a resort course, it falls massively short. DC public courses at a fraction of the price are in much better condition. A disappointi…

Excellent course layout! This course has been on my bucket list for years and I finally made it out this past Saturday morning. The pace of play was just under 4 hours. Only complaint is that the bunkers could be in better shape. I don't think they've been raked in a while. Anyway, it was a fun and challenging course. I will definitely make the drive to play again

Resort course that is pretty open. Layout was good. Can't tell you about the greens as they had just been punched. It appeared that bunker maintenance isn't a regular thing. Not one bunker looked like it had been raked for weeks, which was disappointing. Finishing holes over and along the water were fun.

Bunkers were a little rough due to the recent rains, but I never go in the bunkers anyways ;) Seriously though... Paid less than half for what this course is worth. EVERY hole is beautiful and it really is worth the price. And a hot tub for adults only... Wha'what... What are my squatters rights in MD... I may never leave

Awesome course. Deer everywhere. Beautiful scenery. Course is in great shape.

No starter was anywhere to be found, so we just went out whenever we thought we should. The bunkers were unplayable, even with recent rain, they were unkept and like hitting out of the parking lot pavement. Greens and fringe were full of weeds which made putting tricky. Unfortunate that the course was in such bad shape, the layout is nice and challenging. Ladies at the bar/restaurant were very friendly too.
