River Island Golf Course

I am not a picky golfer but can say, I really enjoyed this course. Was up in the tundra for a fall wedding and found myself nearby this course. The greens were well kept and the breeze and water sounds majestic. For not very much $$$, I generously gave a few balls to the local squirrels and really enjoyed the friendly people I encountered. Even the sheriff who pulled me over.

Terrible! 4 us went for the first time. Got seated at 5:10, order taken at 5:25. Asked at 6pm where our 2 Perch plates and 2 Chicken Sandwiches were. Was told other people had reservations and we would have to wait another 20 or more minutes. One group received their dinners. Another group came in After we ordered and then received their dinners. Reservations mean a table, not service before others who ordered first! Canceled our order, paid for our drinks and the woman who took our money said she was management. Very Rude. Slammed our change on the table! Apparently you must be a regular to…

Course was a bog. Pace is play is not even a consideration. 5-some in front of me made it glacial in pace. Never offered to let me play through although I was a single. Price was cheap but with only 9 holes, there’s no provision for having honors if you want to make the “turn”. Won’t be back there…….

Went here for a fish fry. All the food was great! Fresh salad bar but a little small on selection. My wife had shrimp and said it was the best she's had in a while.

Liked this course. The river running through it and the multiple tees to add different play was pretty unique. The fairways were mostly in good shape and greens rolled well. Fair bar area and a pretty small pro shop area. Good staff and fair prices. Would play it again.

Course is in great shape. Love playing here.

Been here several times and always have a good time. Staff is great, course is in really great condition, and greens seem pretty true. I'll definitely be back again!

We had the perch fish fry-was very good-hash browns were excellent-cheese curds-delicious. We had delivered-was fast and friendly.

Great experience. Made extra room for our large group. Fast and friendly service. Can't wait to do it again.

Had are 50 year class reunion there had a couple drinks and horde derves

Great course in an awesome valley. Plus in the winter there is a free tubing hill right next to the course. And the club house food that keeps me going back!!! Again.... And again....

Everything was fine. Food was great. Will definitely return.
