In summary

Proctor Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly staff, convenient location, and suitability for beginners, with its manageable 9-hole layout and well-maintained greens. However, some visitors have noted issues with course conditions, such as rough spots and water damage, as well as concerns about customer service and pace of play. Despite these challenges, the course remains a popular choice for locals and visitors seeking a casual golfing experience.

We called over a month ago to play in a golf scramble and was told it was full. He took my name and number and would call if they open it up for more teams. I called back 5 days before the scrambled because I seen they opened it up. I was told it was full and my name wasn’t on the list. Just poor customer service and definitely will not spend my money here again.

Nice clubhouse, friendly people. Course had some rough spots, but was a fun play. Fairways are close together, so be aware. My wife took a ball to her ribs while she was getting ready to tee off on 7. Probably would have given 4 stars without the beaning.

Easy going, pretty easy course, was in nice shape, very surprisingly fast greens. I’ll come back for a leisurely 9 holes again.

Great course in good condition price is bit expensive for a small 9 hole course though

The Proctor Golf Course is in terrible condition. Several holes have large areas that are roped off and unplayable. A large section of the whole course is still under water and unplayable. There are temporary cart paths set up to avoid the water and mud. I understand the damage the last storm did. It would have been prudent and professional to let people know when making a tee time, Especially people driving hours to get there. Most certainly, they should not be charging full price for a course that is a mud pit. I would wait before playing this course. Maybe even until next year.

The course was in bad condition, very hard course as far as the ground is concerned. They let a group of 9 drunk players go out, and they were not letting people play through. Held up the whole “9 hole course”… 2 1/2 hours to play a small course. Would not recommend.

We've stopped here EVERY YEAR since I was a little kid. Now stopping here is a tradition for my children.

Always a favorite course to play. Can be rough in quite a few places but otherwise it's not too long but not too short and is nice for beginners. I wish they had a driving range but that's okay, I live super close in Proctor so it's very convenient for me.

Our first winter in Duluth and we are all so happy we found this tobogganing hill. It was perfect to be able to back the SUV up to the top of the hill for quick warm ups and music. Kids loved the hill

Very slice friendly!! If you're a beginner golfer this is very friendly, walkable, and cheap. I'd come here instead of the range even!

One of the worst golf courses I have ever played, players also have no etiquette here.

Got done early with work and I decided to check out a new course. It was a pleasant surprise, especially for the money. Is it a 5 star course? Absolutely not, but considering I paid $10, I'll give it a 5 star value all day long.. About the course- Its a nice little ego booster, especially the first 4 par 4's. I was able to get on the green or within a chip shot on all of them. The par 3's were long and by far the most challenging part of the course but it can't all be gravy. The greens rolled really well and I was able to read and execute multiple putts that were in the 10 ft range, that's wor…
