In summary

Preston West Golf Course is highly praised for its friendly staff, affordable pricing, and the unique offering of a fully lit Par 3 course open until late night, which many find ideal for improving their short game. The course and clubhouse receive positive remarks for their atmosphere and quality food, though some note the high volume of players can lead to wear on the greens and tee boxes. While most experiences are positive, a few visitors have reported issues with service and wait times in the restaurant.

This place is absolutely amazing. The range is decent with new balls, the clubhouse and bar along with the food had great atmosphere along with really good food. Beverages were reasonably priced and service was stellar all around. But the icing on the cake was the course. A fully lit Par 3 open till 1am for an insanely cheap price. Why don’t more cities do this? Also a shout out to the grounds crew. While it has recently rained, the greens were in fantastic shape despite the beating they obviously take. Tried to do my part and fix as many divots as I could. All around an awesome experience.

Just passing through for a night and saw this little golf course right near my hotel. I called for a tee time and they told me to just come on in and play. Got there paid for a round and medium bucket of balls for $28. I asked when my tee time was and they said I could “go now or in two hours”. Friendly staff and patrons. Very enjoyable course mostly 110 and under with one “Par 4” at about 240 yards. Greens and tee boxes could use a little more up keep but as noted in other reviews there’s a very high volume of players. If I’m ever coming back through Amarillo I’ll definitely be paying another…

It’s a pretty good course. It’s fun if you’re looking for a quick 18 rounds and honestly, you can play as much as you can handle only paying one green fee. The food at the bar is literally outstanding. The course isn’t in great shape just because of the high volume of play, but it’s as expectedso you really can’t complain much for a $16 green fee love coming here.

I really like having this par three course here! I can walk on and play where the big courses need two days to make a tee time and if you're a single trying to play the big course, your just out of luck. They are doing a lot of work at preston par three. Definitely a great place to play and improve your short game.

Absolutely love this course! It has helped me tighten up my short game. The people who help run this place are my absolute favorite!! Gotta give a HUGE shout out to my guy Bob! He instantly brightens up our day as soon as we step foot into the club house! Kasey is amazing at what she does inside the restaurant! The food is great! Doc keeps us on pace lol. Josh is always so nice and helpful in the evenings! Love this place!

Great course for beginners and families. I just started golf a little over a year ago and this place has been my go to for improving my game. The only improvement I would suggest is some visual distance markers on the driving range. The course itself is great and they've put a lot of work into it recently. Being able to golf at night is a big plus.

I have never had trouble getting “service” here until I actually turned 21. Other than today our experiences were great…BEFORE enter acting with the manager who was unprofessional! I would suggest spending your money elsewhere.

This is a WONDERFUL par 3 course! Greens were fantastic. Nice people in the pro shop, Bar 3 restaurant, and on the course. And the price simply can't be beat. Definitely going back.

Great experience being able to hit some balls so late in the evening. Staff was friendly and so were the other customers. It was well lit and affordable. I will say the range turf area was hacked to oblivion making it difficult to practice hitting from a nice fairway. If I'm honest I'm in the dirt and sticks most of the time anyway. I think I will return to make my mark on their course.

This is a great place for the inexperienced golfer. Can go at your own pace.
