In summary

Preakness Valley Golf Course is widely praised for its well-maintained greens and fairways, attractive layout, and friendly, professional staff, making it a popular choice for both casual rounds and organized events. The course offers a pleasant setting with additional amenities like a restaurant featuring scenic views. However, some visitors have experienced issues with slow pace of play and have encountered occasional management or policy-related frustrations.

Overall, this was a really solid course and a great experience. The layout is enjoyable, conditions were well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The greens and the fairways were in great shape, which made for a fun round. The only downside was the pace of play—it was a bit slower than expected, especially on the back nine. That said, everything else was on point and I’d definitely come back again.

Amazing golf course! This was our home course, when I played in high school. Such good memories. Rip coach Wayne Schiele! He was such a great man, and had a good sense of humor. He's truly missed!

Played in a 9 and Dine outing on a Thursday evening and it was such an enjoyable experience. The course was in great condition, and the staff did a great job of organizing the event. After the golf portion we had a dinner reception on the outdoor patio and it was great. Charming string lights with some great food was a great way to end our evening.

I had a few issues with scheduling and prices that I posted here and Marty, the head manager I believe, cleared up for me. I appreciate him listening to my concerns. Additionally, the course is in absolutely spectacular shape. It’s almost insane how good the conditions are. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are immaculate. Look forward to returning.

Beautiful course, well groomed and maintained. Balanced and challenging but not overly so. Very fair pricing for twighlight and early season golfers. Highly recommend. Shorter (East course) but challenging course which suits me.

Played here recently and was really let down by the condition of the course. For the price they charge, I expected a much better experience. First off, the greens were absolutely covered in unrepaired ball marks. Either the staff isn’t maintaining the greens properly, or players aren’t being reminded to repair their marks. Probably both. The fairways weren’t any better. Divots everywhere, and most of them left unrepaired. Clearly, this course isn’t putting any effort into keeping things playable. The golf carts don’t even have repair sand bottles. And then there’s the issue of restrooms. Th…

My first time at Preakness valley, did not mean I didn't know" rules and attire for golfing" Friendly people at club house and at the front desk of golfing Range, but one rude guy at the golf range house assuming that I don't know the "attire" for golfing stated I couldn't wear that top. I'm very well aware of that and we were going to the range not golf course. I put on a jacket so I didn't "offend the attire rules" on the range not course.

A couple of buddies and I went to this course. Great course. I was having a great day with a greater score. We paid everything was going smooth until some unfriendly manager…if that’s even what he is…came up to us telling us we didn’t pay correctly and we were only allowed to play 9 instead of 18. I offered to pay correctly even though it wasn’t our fault and he made an even bigger deal. Daniel was his name and he was the most incompetent “manager” i have ever seen. He was rude. Nasty. He didn’t even try to correct the situation just kicked us off and ruined our entire day. I would like to say…

Played the shorter course here at Preakness but still was a very challenging. Soo much fun if the vibe is right with your group. Definitely a place to hone your skill set. Definitely need to play the other side. Can’t wait to come back

Goverment bullying at preakness. Thinking the facility was an EV friendly golf course, plugged my EV while playing golf. After a round of golf, I was bullied by a rude staff member stating that golfers are not allowed to plug in their EV for more than 1 hour and clearly stated the chargers are for the use of county employees. I was also threatened with police towing and impoundment of my vehicle. As a paying golfer and a paying EV user through Charge point, no where was any posting through the Charging app or sign posting at the facility stating the time limit use and designated user. If this…
