In summary

Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Club offers a well-regarded golfing experience, particularly on the Pines Course, which features well-maintained greens and a scenic layout near the airport. However, the Palm Course receives criticism for its poor fairway conditions and lack of maintenance. While some praise the friendly staff and amenities like the on-site restaurant, others have expressed dissatisfaction with customer service and high pricing, especially given the cart path restrictions and inconsistent course conditions.

The Pines Course at Pompano Beach is a great course, has great conditions, offering a challenging yet rewarding golfing experience. However, currently, playing can be a bit of a challenge due to the $95 rate combined with cart path only restrictions throughout the entire course, regardless of weather conditions. Despite this, the greens and surrounding areas maintain their pristine condition, as usual of this establishment. Yet, there's room for enhancement, particularly in the tee boxes and fairways. Overall, it's a fantastic course, but there's an opportunity for improvement in the overall c…

The Pines Course is the best by far and Starter and Rangers keeps things moving.

The Palm course is an embarrasement to Florida golf. How can such a great piece of land with so much potential be just abandoned like this. The greens are in good shape overall but the greensides and fairways are awfull. Apperently Pompano has decided to put money on their City Hall instead of fixing the Palms course. The Pine is great but a bit pricy. However the Palm could be such an amazing track but the city leadership is not doing anything and no plans right now to do anything in the near future.

Absolutely horrible experience at the Pompano Beach Golf Course today. After getting rained out, we went in for a simple 9-hole rain check — something every decent golf course handles without a problem. But because our receipt got wet and disintegrated in the cup holder (you know… on a GOLF CART, outdoors, where it tends to RAIN), the cashier, Retania, flat-out refused to help. She was rude, dismissive, and acted like we were trying to scam the place for a few dollars. For reference, Boca Golf & Racquet never requires a receipt for a rain check. They actually care about their regulars. Meanwhi…

Decent course. Not worth $95 they are charging. More of a $40-50 MAX price course. Can go to way nicer courses for the amount of money they charge here. Should be criminal what some of these courses are doing with the rates.

Play can tighten, and become congested, but only minutes away you become entranced. Why do we have these feelings on the course?? I think most golfers and thier crew are copasetic, and we realize that many golfers are attempting to achieve the same euphoria.

The pine course is in good shape. The greens are good on both golf courses, But the palm fairways are not in good shape.

WORST COURSE I’ve EVER been too. The course was not maintained, not even a little bit. We were told to keep our receipt in case it started raining on us for a full refund. We did but when it started monsooning on us on the 4th hole, we went back to the club house and Retania the cashier was extremely rude. She would NOT give us a refund. We will not be returning!

Pines is in amazing shape, palms is not as good shape but still a fun playable course and layout. Only reason for the 3 star is the pro shop workers who check you in to play are unbearable and give you such a hard time. I’ve been a resident for a year and come atleast 4 times a month and they give me a hard time about the resident discount every time when I show them my lease. It’s pretty clear i’m a resident here.

I've been playing the Pines course almost every Saturday and Sunday now for about 2 years. I had started considering getting the membership, and even buying a house in Pompano and moving there, all because of this course. I am writing this review with profound disappointment. The standard of customer service provided by some of your starters and at the pro shop falls far below even basic professional expectations. Even when they are alone at the starter's shed or the pro shop, they don't say hello when I walk up, their replies are curt, without even the courtesy of eye contact. I asked one sta…

It was actually the first course I played when I moved down from Jersey in 1998. Played both courses for at least 5 years. I love both tracks. The Pines plays right along the airport, and you'll see the Goodyear blimp taking off or landing. The raccoons are plenty and will steal your goodies, so keep them hidden. Some tough holes out there so play well. Galuppi's is a great restaurant linked to the proshop. Great views, great food and great atmosphere. The staff followed all social distancing guidelines. The Palms course is walking only but very inexpensive. Lots of fun out there. Enjoy. Drivi…
