In summary

Pocono Palace Resort offers a golf course with a layout that some golfers find appealing and unique, and the staff is generally considered friendly. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with the greens, fairways, and bunkers, which detract from the overall playing experience. Additionally, some guests report slow pace of play and overcrowding as areas needing improvement.

I decided to start this review before we even finished the course. Let’s start off strong right in the beginning of our 18 holes we were convinced our cart was broken. We would have to smash the peddle down multiple times for it to even move. There was multiple times we thought the cart was dead because it wouldn’t make a noise and wouldn’t move an inch. Secondly if you decide to play here only do the front 9 those are decent don’t even waste your time on the back 9…. I fell into a hole right next to the fairway that was approximately 3ft wide and 1ft deep with high enough grass that I didn’t…

The course layout was really nice, however the pro shop was understocked, the staff unprofessional and the greens weren't well taken care of at all. Fall ball is always a gamble, so I'd be willing to try again in the summer- but will likely just golf elsewhere

This was honestly one of the worst golf courses I’ve ever played. The place is completely unkept, the “fairways” are in horrible shape, with patches of dead grass, dirt spots, and uneven lies everywhere. The greens look diseased or burned, some are rock hard, and others are just dead. You can tell there’s been no real maintenance or care for a long time. I should’ve known what kind of round it would be right from the first hole, your drive can literally hit the powerline running right across the fairway. That pretty much sums up the experience. Every hole after that was the same story: rough…

Good to take a group of newer golfers but don’t expect much. Tee boxes and greens were really bad, course layout is short and narrow and some holes are just dumb, like 15. There’s no fairway to speak of, the green slopes so badly to the left and were so dry they wouldn’t hold a ball. I teed off with a 7i, had 90 yards left to the pin, hit a perfect wedge about 3 feet from the flag and it rolled off the left side and down the hill. My third shot had to be played from the tee box on the next hole about 50 yards away. Some of the holes need tree trimming and there’s lots of houses and glass on th…

The worst golf course I’ve ever had the displeasure of stepping onto, if you could even call it a golf course. Greens had little to no grass anywhere, there was garbage all over the tee boxes, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere

I have it three stars because...yes you can infact golf...another reviewer posted that they "should have known by the "absolutely no refunds" signs...they were everywhere. But when you are obsessed, you tend to ignore red flags. This could be a really nice little course. The greens appear to be beyond repair. Good luck to them as I see they are attempting to repair them. There is some housing that the course runs though. We had a few people walking the cart paths...fine okay. I wouldn't take that chance but you do you. And on the 17 hole a family was watching their baby chase geese on the fair…

Sign on the door said “no refunds”… should’ve turned and left from there. Charged me $70 for the worst course conditions I’ve ever seen. They should pay me $70 to play this dumpster.

Played in October, 2024 and tees, fairways were hard and dry. Bunkers were not raked, actually there were no rakes for the bunkers. Greens have a lot of slopes and are in good condition although they are hard and fast. I had 1 putt that stopped short of the hole and rolled back to almost off the green. Several holes run parallel to each other so be aware of miss hit balls. So with all that said, I would like to play the course again in the Spring or Summer as there are several unique holes and blind spots which require you to know the layout.

The course has really gone down the tubes. It used to be decent. Fairways and greens on the back 9 barely had grass. Bunkers had crab grass growing in them. The worst part was the groups of 5 and 6 out there. Took us over 5 hours to play. A shame

Beautiful course, reasonable prices, great staff. If we return to the Poconos, we'll surely play here again..
