In summary

Pleasant Hill Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with some visitors appreciating the course's layout and the reasonable pricing of greens fees. However, many express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with fairways, greens, and golf carts, as well as dissatisfaction with management and customer service. While some find the setting peaceful and the staff friendly, others feel the course's condition does not justify the current pricing.

Not worth the price. Paid weekend price - $70 for 9 holes, 2 ppl, cart. The carts are subpar - windshield cracked, window held together with wood frame, not modern. Most holes don’t have a hole guide, nor water in their ball washer. The score card doesn’t have a course map. The greens were decent. As an avid golfer - if you’re going to charge that much, course should at least met the basics well.

I hate posting this but as an avid golfer I would want to know the condition of the course before being extremely disappointed. I’ve played this course several times over the years with few issues, however the course has deteriorated to where it is borderline unplayable. The fairways in many cases had dirt and dead crab grass which made it difficult to find your golf ball, there were orange cones in some the fairways to warn of large mud holes, and the tee boxes were destroyed. The greens were decent but over-watered and like a sponge. The golf carts were dilapidated with no windshields and we…

The course was in very good condition and the staff was easy-going. I liked the set-up at the range where you can simply insert cash in exchange for how many balls you want without even going into the clubhouse. The bar had a nice selection of drinks and the greens fees were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this course. It offers plenty of challenges while also being somewhat forgiving.

Really nice place. I happened to stop to take a walk through here, so I wasnt playing the course, but I'd have to say...it seemed to be a decent place. Very peaceful. Spacious. And from what I could tell, not all tooo challenging. Looks like a great place to do a solid 9 or 18 holes and work on your game in the meantime. A local course to frequent.

For an older private course the price is right and the course is challenging

I used to play Pleasant hill a lot 15 years ago. It was kind of a hot spot and a nice course to play. I recently started playing again and thought I would take the family to Pleasant hill to play. What a mistake, they have let this course go so bad it’s hardly playable. The fairways are all weeds, the greens are so over watered they are like sponges with water standing in the holes. Your feet sink down and leave footprints when you walk across them, and this is in a July drought. Half of the holes only have poles where the hole description signs used to be so you have no idea what hole you’re…

Course was absolutely terrible especially for the high price of 35 dollars for 9 holes. The carts wouldn’t even turn and had no way of checking your yardages. And the course was absolutely terrible not well maintained at all i want a full refund. Here below is a picture of the the tee box. Do NOT come here.

Worst golf experience of my golfing career. Crabgrass fairways that often time could even grow that, dirt fairways mostly. We were actually aiming for the rough to to have grass under the ball. The clubhouse was filled with old trashy golf clubs and headcovers, lost and founds that they were charging money for. Carts were only slightly better than a Walmart shopping cart. Worst part was what I perceived as the owner. Rude is an understatement, Scrooge like. Clearly he is putting nothing back into the course and grubs for every dime out of your pocket. Do not water a single penny here, you back…

Course is large, plays long for a small house. Bar has a good selection of beer and whiskeys. Very fair priced. Very reasonable fees. Nice driving range and putting green. Cause not alway in perfect condition. But fir the price, no one should complain.

Played on 07/07/24. Nice country course, small greens, in decent condition. Cart path is really torn up in places. Kurt wasn't miserable when he checked us in, which is unusual. Downside: $48 for green fees and cart is really overpriced. Guessing that most feel the same, as the course wasn't busy for a Sunday. Wont be returning until the fees are reduced. 10/25/24: Played the course again, primarily due to its location for me and other members in my group. I'd rate it around 2.75. The positive takeaways are the same as mentioned in my earlier review. Negatives: no one was working to check in t…

Owner doesn't take care of anything except the cash he brings home. Charges 4 star prices for a one star course. The greens are ok. Carts, paths, clubhouse, shop, snack bar are all awful. Don't waste your time.

Course is not taken care of. Greens are furry and slow. Trees have not been trimmed in 40 years, fairways are bad and tee boxes are trash. Overpriced
