Ol’ Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa is one of the area’s best spots for golfers of all levels. Managed by the Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority, this beautifully maintained course offers a peaceful, scenic layout that makes every round enjoyable. The 18-hole championship course, designed by former U.S. Open champion Jerry Pate, features rolling fairways, challenging bunkers, and fast, smooth greens. It’s well-balanced—tough enough to test experienced golfers but still approachable for beginners. The facilities are top-notch, with a driving range, practice greens, and a short game…

This is a beautiful, well manicured golf course with spectacular views that we had the pleasure of playing while in town from Ohio. The staff was extremely polite and professional, and if we return in the future, we'll definitely be making a reservation to play here again. Highly recommend Ol' Colony!!

A great place for golf in Tuscaloosa. It’s also where the university of Alabama golf team plays. They keep the course in great condition and the greens are in good shape also. Looking for a great place to play golf in Tuscaloosa? Look no further. This place is a great value.

Everything is great but no marshall. Behind sorry foursome and took us 5 hours to play. Backed up groups behind us. Could make people not want to play there again if it happens again.

What a fun day attending the final round of the Toyota Classic, part of the Women's Epson Tour. Congrats to Celine Borge of Norway who won without a caddie and also carried her own bag!

Fantastic golf course! Service was excellent from the people working in the club house, the starter, and cart girl. Greens were rolling well and in great shape. Will be back to Ol Colony for sure and highly recommend.

I have to say, I have met the RUDEST people at this course. Checking in was very straightforward, you pay and move on. No friendly customer service, which is okay. We are here to play golf and not get a pep talk… On the very first hole, the old man set the tone for the golf course. He began raising his voice and down talking our group because we were not told to have our receipt ready for security sitting at hole 1 (mind you, we had golf carts, so it’s not like we could’ve just grabbed a cart without paying and receiving a key)… while one of our group members went to get the receipt reprinted,…

Too many negatives to list. Course is in bad shape from tee box to green. Dry as a bone, drill is required to get a tee in the ground on some boxes. Same your time and money, take a short drive to Birmingham for golf and you’ll thank me later

Payed $50 for a cart and 9 holes and the greens all looked about like this. Ridiculous, I really can’t wait for Old Cove Golf Course to open up so I can play there

Was very pleased playing here for first time. Came down from PA. It was very wet due to rain on Sunday, cart path only, so got a pull cart and walked. Not a bad walk couple good hills but if you're a walker no problem. Five tee boxes I played the blues at just over 6500. There are two boxes longer available.. Greens in good shape and ran quick for all the rain. Nothing tricky, won't have any issue figuring out holes. It is NOT a boring layout. For $35 to walk it is a great value!!
