In summary

Nob North Golf Course is highly regarded for its well-maintained greens and fairways, scenic layout, and friendly staff, making it a standout public course in the region. The course offers modern amenities such as GPS-equipped carts and is praised for its challenging design with varied hole difficulties. First time there. Played with sons. Very good quality and well groomed greens and fairways. Carts were comfy and GPS equipped. Prices were cheaper than I thought and the quality of the course was very top notch. We will be spending more time there in the spring !!!

Let’s talk Dalton Golf. Let’s talk Knob North. 🌳⛳️ Nestled out here in Varnell, Georgia, Knob North is more than just a course—it’s a community. A beautiful stretch of land on the north side surrounded by good folks and great homes. Knob North is unique to Dalton. It’s a public course, but hands down one of the nicest public courses in the whole state. From the layout to the views, it’s something special we’ve got right here In Dalton! Here’s to Knob North. 🥂

Beautiful course. Well maintained. The GPS on carts will help 1st timers with all the sharp doglegs and blind tee shots. Be ready for some 3 putts on fast, undulating greens. Best public course around. Definitely worth the drive from Chattanooga Dalton or surrounding areas.

Arguably the best public course near Chattanooga. Play here a couple times a month and never once had a bad experience. Course is well kept, and you can tell they take pride in it. Greens are always nice and challenging with differing tiers. Nice range as well.

Beautiful public golf course, the greens are in great shape. The golf carts are like new with built in GPS map displays. The green fees and cart fees are reasonable for a course of this high quality.

This a fantastic course. Driving to it, I was blown away by the initial sight of the course, great big fairways, tall mature trees, rolling land. The view off the first tee was incredible. It’s an interesting layout, with a lot of doglegs (risk/reward etc.). I was lucky to be paired with two local gentlemen who guided and entertained me through the 18 holes. The staff were all super helpful also. When I got there, I was a little disappointed to see that the greens were sanded. I’m glad I didn’t know in advance, as I might have missed a really enjoyable day of golf! By the way, the greens rol…

Played there today and the greens were not very good. Looked like they had been aerated and still had sand on them. No mention was made of the conditions but yet they still charged full price. Most courses have a reduced price when greens are in that condition. The course is usually in good shape.

The course layout is great, but the drainage system is extremely poor. I understand it rained about a week ago, but the ground should have dried out in four days. Instead, it felt like we were playing in mud.

I went here for the first time yesterday and loved it! The greens were in excellent shape and loved the hole designs. It's a great mix of varying difficulties. I'm definitely going to be back!

This place feels like a public country club in the best way possible. Course is awesome and people are super nice. Best public course near Chattanooga hands down, worth the drive.

Great place, kinda pricey compared to other courses around the area. Need to make tee time if you want to play any day of week. Big greens, open fairways. Does sell beer
