In summary

Mainlands Golf Course is frequently praised for its friendly and accommodating staff, affordable rates, and decent course conditions, particularly the greens, which are generally well-maintained despite the drought. However, some visitors have noted issues such as overbooked tee times leading to slow play, inconsistent green conditions, and a layout that includes numerous short holes, which may not appeal to all golfers. Additionally, some reviews mention dissatisfaction with the overall maintenance of the course and the handling of customer service during adverse weather conditions.

Pretty short course. The pro shop for a smaller golf course was actually surprising with how much merchandise and clubs they had for sale. Also super affordable for a tee time 10/10.The greens are in really good shape surprisingly, especially considering we are in a historic drought. 10/10 on those. They’re a little slow but not choppy and they’re very consistent through out the entire course. They also have some slope so prepare to have to actually read slope while you’re putting. The fairways weren’t the greatest but definitely playable. This I’m assuming is also due to the drought we are in…

Decent course, very short. Houses pretty much on the fairways but a fun place to play. I’d play there again. Tee times are close together and they send people off the front and back so you get to the turn and wait. Course was in decent overall shape. Rented clubs there on vacation. Pretty good clubs for rentals and reasonably priced. Staff was nice.

I left 4 stars because the clubhouse staff was very nice and organized. The course is ok. Nothing really special. About 7 par 3's and the fairways could use some work. Greens were dry and had different speeds depending on which one you were on. Layout was ok and spread out. I'd rate this course a 5 out of 10. Ibwould play here again if I couldn't find a tee time somewhere else. Again, staff was extremely nice.

The website says affordable, maybe so but you can play a championship course like Seminole Lakes for the same price, you can't putt because the greens have hundreds of divots it is bad etiquette on golfer's but to pay $55 the greens keepers should fix them. Do you're self a favor get your money's worth at another course. I've played mainland's off and on for 30 years never payed so much

People working there are very nice and helpful. Course isn't great. They've put 18 holes in an area that should be . Be careful bc it's easy to get hit.

If you are looking for a great time head to Mainlands. Great staff and the course is fun for only 4500 or so yards!

Course fairways were pretty dry. T boxes nice: greens looked nice but had lots of bumps. Doesn't seem like most people fix ball marks on greens.

$135 and they turn the sprinklers on before you can finish your round. Do better.

Honestly, this may be the worst course in the St. Pete Area. The staff are extremely friendly and make sure you have everything you need, but when you step on the first tee box you realize what you got yourself into. The most I would pay to play this course is $14. I payed $32 today and I feel like i’ve been mugged. Greens fees shouldn’t even apply here, as the greens aren’t actually greens. They’re rough grass with painted green sand in areas that are under repair. And that’s every green. The tee boxes don’t have a flat surface to hit the ball on, and every box is in really bad shape. I would…

12 kart line at hole 1 due to overbooked tee times then Karen came around and shut the course down because of an afternoon shower. Kart guys are nice but actively smoke weed in your face which gave me a bad headache. Bought hot dog chips and drink for 10$ but bun and chips were stale like card board. Place has potential but there’s too many good courses in Tampa to deal with the poopy management, rate it a 2/10 will suggest to my friends and other golfers to find somewhere else to play. No rain check offered, they offered me a beer lol… I’m a recovering alcoholic and it took everything in me t…

Ranger Jeff was the rudest person I’ve ever met. Very unprofessional, group of 3 paid for a tee time at 5pm, we are on 14 by 7:38pm and he tells us we need to pack it up and go to go home that we were behind pace of play. Sunset was at 8:10pm. I golf here all the time and I hate to say I will never be back here because of him.
