Lexington Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its scenic and well-maintained course, friendly and accommodating staff, and excellent event hosting capabilities. Many visitors appreciate the course layout and the overall atmosphere. However, some guests express concerns about the condition of the greens and fairways, as well as the relatively high fees compared to other local courses.

Course was in great form for our early May 2024 visit. Intended to play the full 18 but were rained out at 9. Clubhouse is simplistic, clean and usually fairly quiet. Large parking lot with easy access to course, club house and pro shop. Would return and hope for more sunshine. Best course in Lexington.

Perfect experience for wedding rehearsal brunch! Our experience at the Lexington Golf and Country Club was exceptional! Event Manager Elena was very helpful in making sure everything was pre-planned perfectly. She made sure the room was set up exactly how we requested. Rebecca, Food and Beverage Manager, was extremely helpful prior to the brunch and during. She made sure things ran smoothly and food was well stocked. ALL of the food the executive chef prepared was beyond DELICIOUS! All of our guests raved about how delicious the food was. We would highly recommend using the Lexington Golf & Co…

I’d like to thank Bob and Lauren for planning a wonderful wedding ceremony and reception at The Lexington Golf & Country Club. We were looking for a place to have a small intimate wedding prior to a destination wedding for the family. The staff at the golf club were absolutely fabulous. They worked with us on menus, an outdoor ceremony, private room, and set-up. To say we were impressed is an understatement. The food was delicious, the atmosphere fantastic, and the staff extremely accommodating. The day was a huge success and I had no worries about the venue and service based on prior coordina…

Going to add the pros and cons I noticed while playing this course. Overall 2.75/5 Pros: the course is very pretty, the fairways are well maintained, many water features/bunkers, and pace of play was good. The carts appear up to date and the markers seem to be accurate. Cons: Personally, I believe these greens are very below average when compared to other courses around. They are extremely hard, and by hard I don’t mean difficult, I mean HARD. I am unsure if they have been watered recently (or ever), but the greens are hard as packed dirt. The greens almost appeared dead, yellow colored gra…

Came for the Sunday brunch and was extremely disappointed in the food. $23 for chicken and waffles that could be summed up as 2 eggo waffles and 3 Tyson frozen chicken tenders. Highly recommend eating elsewhere for a better deal and better food. The only upside is that the service is good.

I'm not a golfer. I was attending a meeting here. The meeting didn't happen because the organization's leaders didn't show. The staff did their best to make us comfortable. Although, they offered coffee, none ever came.

A group of us play all over Central VA. and use the VSGA card. Lexington Golf & Country Club has the highest green fees of any of the courses we play. With that being said the tee boxes, greens and bunkers were in excellent shape. The same cant be said for the fairways. They were awful. If we decided to come back and play we will call first and see if anything was done to improve the fairways before we make the drive. Very picturesque and easy access to interstate.

My wife and I were on a long road trip and stopped by on a whim to stretch our legs. Everyone at the club house was super friendly and they were even able to work us in on a Sunday afternoon. I thought the course was in good shape for this time of year (late winter/early spring) and we played in about 3 1/2 hours. We also had lunch at the club house which was excellent. Would definitely play here again.

Interesting course & in very good condition! Very scenic! Good layout among the hills with a little water, small meandering streams, but not too many hazards. We loved it! 4 T-boxes set for wide range of skill levels. All greens, T- boxes and fairways were green and well maintained! Not too busy. Greens were slow the day we played.

Played Lexington for the first time today. The course was in excellent condition. Loved the layout of the course. The young man in the pro shop was very personable and helpful. Gave us directions to everything we needed to know about, bathrooms, snack bar, practice green, driving range and the first tee box. The rates were very reasonable on Supreme Golf. We will definitely be returning to play this course. Very enjoyable experience.

Yesterday was our visit. We were very impressed. Well worth the drive from Roanoke. Course was in great shape especially for November. Nice layout. We will most definitely be back again. Thanks for a great afternoon.
