What People Say

In summary

Lakewood Country Club is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and well-maintained executive course that is ideal for beginners and those looking to improve their short game. The course layout, with its mix of par 3 and par 4 holes, offers a quick and enjoyable round. However, some visitors have noted issues with course conditions, such as the greens and infrastructure, and have experienced inconsistent customer service and amenities.

Really great “par 3+” course, fantastic to learn to chip and put on Bermuda grass for us folks from up north! Super affordable and wonderful staff. Fav hole is 9!

Ok place for a quick round and for all skill levels, but overpriced given low quality and condition of course and overall infrastructure. As you will see in other ‘country’ golf course reviews, I enjoy finding hidden gems. Unfortunately this is not one of them, but could be if investments were made in pathways, greens on course, and appearance cleanliness of arrival and clubhouse area.

★★★★★ Exceptional Golf, Elegance, and Outstanding Service! Lakewood Country Club is an absolute gem, offering a top-tier golf experience, stunning amenities, and first-class service. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a beautifully maintained facility that exudes both charm and sophistication. The golf course is in immaculate condition, with perfectly manicured fairways and greens that provide a challenging yet enjoyable round. The layout is well-designed, offering a mix of strategic holes that cater to both seasoned golfers and those looking to refine the…

Great executive course to play for cheap. The guys in the pro shop are phenomenal and very helpful. We came here on a budget and enjoyed the course. Overall kept well but not the same as the other courses around the area. I would play again for the price and the challenging course.

This course is no value. Sure it is inexpensive versus other courses but they made our experience very negative. It is also just a tiny neighborhood par three type course vs most other standard courses. They really showed us no professional standard of customer care. They pushed five old people in front of us at the turn, several who clearly did not golf much and one walker. They were giving each other golf lessons etc. Terrible situation that ruined a nice day golfing with my wife. To avoid any conflict, I asked for a rain check to come back another time but the nasty red haired golf manager…

Great executive course! It's well-maintained and challenging enough for a short game tune-up. John, the starter, does a wonderful job of making everyone feel welcome. He even posts your cart number next to your name in case you forget something! Such great customer service!

I used to work at the course and also play there. It's a par 60 and very challenging. Greens are quite small and great if you want to work on your iron play. Well maintained and very affordable. I would highly recommend the course!

great golf course in good shape for this time of year. The impression is that time stood still at this place, maybe around 1970, everything is a bit smaller, than we are often used to today, and very neat, it is very relaxing to play there. I like the fact, that they also offer a rate for nine holes. Staff very friendly and helpful. A great place to work on your short game...

Par 3 course. Other than 3 par 4's on the front and 1 par 4 on the back.
