In summary

Lake James Golf Club is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic hills, and well-maintained greens, with some visitors highlighting the friendly and helpful staff. The course offers a mix of open and narrow fairways, appealing to a variety of skill levels. However, some guests have expressed concerns about the condition of cart paths, tee boxes, and certain areas needing maintenance, as well as the pricing, which some feel is not justified by the current state of the course. Additionally, customer service experiences have been mixed, with some noting issues at the pro shop.

Loved playing here! Course had received significant rain the previous couple days and so needed a good mowing all around but loved the lay out and the gentleman, Brad, I believe was extremely helpful, friendly and social. I would definitely play here again under better conditions.

For 55 dollars this course needs A LOT of work. Not sure how they are getting away with 55 for 18. This should be a 35 dollar course. The cart paths are falling apart and the conditions of tee boxes are poor. Greens were mostly fine. I played there twice in two weeks and probably won’t be back. Hopefully they are using the money to make improvements and not sucking the business dry. Also very notable consideration. Do not visit this course in June. The Cotton woods are atrocious.. cotton wood literally all over the course. Had fun the first time but the second time I was wondering why I came b…

Play this course every year, was always ok and priced reasonable except this year! Played Bella Vista this morning $35 always pristine there ,go for a second round of the day at lake James $46 unkept sand traps fairways were a little furry not even comparable! Medium fountain drink $3 upstairs at Mulligans. I'm saying farewell! I probably could have got a replay at Bella Vista for less than $30 , played zollner this past weekend for the same price as lake James during the week ... Doesn't seem to make much sense. Played Noblehawk today immaculate, pristine course $50 alli we could play. Just m…

This was a really fun and challenging course. I had a great time. Lots of nice hills, water hazards, difficult rough. The course was also very well maintained. This was my 1st time to play it, but I'll be back.

Was out on the course a few days ago, new white sand in several bunkers. Other bunkers are being filled in! Greens in great shape for early season. Such wonderful condition!

Had great time, enjoyed the course, everything about the experience was good except the person behind the desk in the pro shop. He was rude and smug. Wouldn’t come back specifically because of him.

This course won't blow you out of the water, but won't bore you at the same time. Front 9 is wide open (with tiny greens) while the back 9 is mature (with good-sized greens). This is usually my go-to course when I want a decent course without spending over $25 (weekday). Hint: take advantage of the twilight rates. Their morning/weekend rates are overpriced.

I am not one to complain at all, but couldn’t help this. Went to play on Sept 16th at 2:45 pm. The cost was $25 (which is already way too much for this course). There is dirt everywhere, cart paths have more potholes in spots than concrete and it isn’t watered well at all. The course is in awful shape. I took my two kids with me (8 and 5). They always like to bring their clubs and hit maybe 5 shots each from the tee. As we were on the tee the guy from the front desk came running out and said, “if they are going to play, you have to pay for them. It is $10 per kid ($20).” I said they will hit l…

Paid around $57 for 18 holes... got rained after 9 holes... was told I could use rain check, when I went to use the rain check the next week, the people tried charging me 32 to finish the 9 holes out of the 18 I paid for....long story short.... play in the rain here because they don't honor rain checks

Nice public course within 10 minutes of Lake Jimmerson. They have a putting green, but no driving range. A nice course overall to get out for a round while visiting the area.
