In summary

Jekyll Island Golf Club offers a range of courses with beautiful layouts and friendly staff, set in a picturesque environment with abundant wildlife. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained Pine Lakes and Oleander courses, while others enjoy the unique design of Great Dunes. However, some guests have experienced inconsistent course conditions, particularly with greens and fairways, and have noted issues with communication and service in the clubhouse.

Pretty great courses. Played Great dunes on 1/10 and the greens were sanded. It is a new course so I understand the $130 price tag but it’s too steep if you’re putting through sand/ rocks. They should have had discounted rates during this time. Luckily we secured a hot rate on GolfNow or we would have been very disappointed in paying $130 with Greens in those conditions Played Pine Lakes on 1/11 and it was in terrific shape. All greens were rolling smooth and fast and fairways were in great condition. Price for this course was fair if not a little cheap for the condition it’s in. Staff was p…

Great golf in Georgia's state park. 3-18 hole courses to select from when making your tee time. Played Indian Mounds. The greens are small making the approach shot critical. The layout is beautiful and secluded. There is a full practice facility, a full pro shop and a great grill to enjoy a beverage while settling up your bets after a majestic round. Highly recommended to play if you enjoy the game of golf.

Do Not Play here! I would give it no stars if the option was available. We played Great Dunes today and it was absolutely the worst course I can remember playing! The group in front of us played Pine Lakes and said it was even worse! Supposedly this course was renovated and reopened in November 2025 but literally looks like the project was abandoned mid project but opened anyway! I can’t believe the Clubhouse staff can charge guests $135 to play this Goat Track and sleep at night! Golfers Beware!

The restoration of Great Dunes has been outstandingly executed. Kudos to the Jekyll Island Authority and architects Brian Ross and Jeffrey Stein. The renovation of the Oleander nine and the restoration of the Travis routing are nothing short of breathtaking. What's most striking is the sensory contradiction this course pulls off. The lowcountry is everywhere, salty air, tall pines, oaks, and marsh. But the weathered trees and exposed dune ridges read more like Monterey Peninsula than the Southeast. It's a rare combination. This and the other investments on the island have quietly solidified J…

Played round a Golf at Indian mound on April 28, the greens were terrible. The fairways were terrible. For the amount of money you pay to play a round of Golf, you would think it would be in better condition. I've been there previously and I really didn't have any issues, but this last time and it just seems like They weren't taking care of it. There was fungus on the greens, mushrooms growing. It was not a good experience. The staff was great. Carts were in great condition. Starter was very friendly, just the course was in bad condition. What Happened..

Amazing courses. Well maintained and groomed. Very afordable for the quality. Golf carts have a lot of tech with touch screens.

The parking and organisation around the clubhouse is good. We played the new Great Dunes course but I feel we’ve come too early as it needs time to settle. The first 9 holes are really good, or will be once the greens improve - these were very disappointing- sandy and slow. However, there were some great holes on this 9, especially the par 5 that ends up the hill towards the ocean. Then some very nice ocean holes. For us , after 12 it got a bit monotonous until the 17th par 3. Unusual layout with 9 out then 9 back rather than two loops. I’d probably try it again if we return from the UK for th…

The condition of the course could have been due to the amount of rain that they had had. But overall it was fair - very beat up. Staff was very friendly, nice restaurant and overall had fun. Played Oleander and it was good but very worn, Indian Mound was better. Price was decent, good carts with GPS; would be worth going back when things started to grow and the grounds keepers improved it.

I played 18 on 31OCT starting @3pm. The course wasn’t hard, some of the greens are pretty rough(bad time of year though) I didn’t have a bad time……up until hole 15 when my cart died. I pushed my cart back and tried calling the clubhouse 5 times with no answer. I pushed until I was in front of the clubhouse when the staff finally saw us and pulled us in 50ft. Not worth $75.

Very nice course to play with different challenges on each hole. Little bit of uneven play on greens from front to back, but nothing too extreme, probably due to early start and them drying out over the round. The first five holes hit pretty hard so be ready. Most courses of this level usually have a great finish and we were all a little underwhelmed with 18 especially after you see some of the other holes. Definitely a course with playing (Oleander) but had a few things that kept it from a five star.

Friend was in town for the weekend and we shot Oleander on both Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday when we checkwd in with the clubhouse to see what tee times might be available, (even though there were tee times available within 20 minutes) we were chastised repeatedly by the clubhouse staff for not making tee times on line.   Other than this verbal thrashing from the clubhouse staff, the rest of the folks we dealt with were quite friendly. The cart staff and starter were both great.  The course was a bit wet and the greens were rough with numerous small green sprouts.  The gps units were  up to…

Not sure why the bad reviews. We played a great round on Oleander this Sunday. The staff, at the Pro Shop, Teabuzi's and on the course were all very friendly and helpful. Loved the GPS on the carts. Course was in very good shape just a couple spots in the fairway with weeds and a couple bare patches, but what we expected in the summer in the south. Pace of play was perfect and we, a twosome, got around in under 4 hours. Greens are very small, but held well and rolled true. Saw a bunch of deer. We'll definitely be back.
