Jack O'Lantern Golf Resort

We have been coming here off and on since the mid 90's for a weekend guys golf getaway... this year (much like the others) was amazing. This is our first year back since they re-did the club house/ Bar area... Food and service was great, their smash burger was one of the best I have had, if I lived closer I would pop in just to have that. We will be back for sure. 10/10 would highly recommend.

We rented an Airbnb here for the duration of our stay in New Hampshire and it was really nice. The resort is located in a quiet, peaceful area of Thornton, NH and the surrounding mountain views are gorgeous. The rooms are actually quite small, not like the pictures make them out to be. It was ok, but a little squishy. Perfect for a couple. The golf course is literally next door which is great and there’s plenty of stuff to do in the area The staff is very unresponsive, we needed a blanket and pillow being that there is only one bed in the room. The only reason I give this course one star is because I like the layout and the greens are good. Grass seems to be a foreign concept to this course so if you enjoy hitting the ball out of dirt and weed instead of grass you will love this course. My local municipal course that costs 12 dollars per nine clears this abomination. Please just plant grass and run some sprinklers for crying out loud.

I have been coming to the Jack with a group of guys (The Ole Woodsman Open) for over 30 years. Over that time we have experienced several owners. They didn't seem to care about the up keep of the course or the horrible smell in the clubhouse. But with the new owners they care about the course, the clubhouse and the patrons. For the short time that they have been there. They have cleaned up the course. The clubhouse is amazing, both upstairs and downstairs. What a great transformation, great job! Great place to stay. Plenty of room, clean, and the owner was very helpful. Away from the traffic but 10 minutes from tons of restaurants and the Kancamangus Hwy.

Our group, OWO has been golfing there for 30 years and it’s the best it’s ever been. The new owners have put a lot of work into the golf course and restaurant. Service and food are great. I look forward to seeing more improvements and many more years of memories.

Played 18 holes. Lots of new tee off markers, signs, good looking holes. In spite of 90 degree temps, was a nice morning. New golf carts. Reasonable prices for play & carts.

This is our 4th Memorial Day weekend staying at the Jack O’Lantern in Woodstock NH. We love staying there it is always very clean and the owners are great to make sure your stay is wonderful.

Had no issues whatsoever with the golf course. The problem is with the cabins. Be advised, the owners have Ring cameras and are watching your every move. By the time it was over a friend had accumulated over $5200 in bogus fines. When AirBnb got hold of it they agreed that the owners claims were frivolous and nothing more than a cash grab. The entire case was dismissed. I had a $200 parking violation. Still haven’t seen the documentation yet. This place is so very well kept. The housekeeping staff have done an amazing job. The staff were fantastic, keeping in touch through email and text. Everything was ready for our arrival, with the lights left on and the unit was warm and inviting after a drive on a cold snowy night. The kitchen had all utensils and items ready for us to prepare our own meals. The whole contact and stay with this resort had been seamless, and some other places could learn a few things from Priscilla and her team. We will definitely be coming back again, and now than once!

The unit we stayed in (2 bedroom suite with loft) seemed a little tired when we first arrived. Some of the kitchen utensils were unusable and a cursory inspection would find many small repairs needed. Our unit was clean, spacious and comfortable; however, and met our family's (2 adults 3 children under 10) just fine. We stayed for 3 days 2 nights, but left longing for a longer stay. I totally love this place! The office/reception staff were outstanding. I traveled to the White Mountains on business. I'm a floral vendor and was servicing a wedding near by. I called ahead to be sure there was ground level entry as I had lots of heavy things to move into my room. There was so much space and a decent area for me to work in. I brought my son and husband along and there was ample space for several floral artworks, bouquets and for my family. I was lucky to find such a gem. Especially because I booked last minute on a major holiday (4th of July) weekend. I cannot wait to go back…
