Challenging golf course as a beginner golfer but a fun to play golf here! Especially, hole 12 that the course is very narrow and steep downhill.

The course is challenging and fun. The only good thing I have to say is about the course. I do enjoy playing there but there are plenty of other great courses for the same price or cheaper. Would be good to find a way to have drinking water on the course. Staff is hit or miss, some are great and others are ridiculous rude. For the cost of play, I would honestly play somewhere else.

Beautiful and picturesque course. I got started in golf from here. It's quite a distance to get here if you live on the Minneapolis side. As for the course most players prefer to rent cart because of the challenging terrain. I took it as a challenge walking the full 18 holes. The only time I made the exception is on a 90+ summer day.

The course itself has always been solid, but the City of IGH has priced it too high for the last several years. The carts are old and without GPS. Comparable municipal courses nearby such as Eagle Valley in Woodbury and River Oaks in Cottage Grove have better rates, newer carts with GPS, and friendlier staff. Do better IGH.

Played Inverwood golf course on a Monday afternoon in early September. The course was packed full and we were paired up with a random couple. Course had a great “starter” house and set up and was on time right down to the second for our tee time. Off the first tee, having not played there before, it was difficult to figure out where to aim and hit to. Many other holes were blind bits or blind approaches as well. The course layout would be what I consider “fair,” there was nothing special about it. They or feature hole is #12, a 176 yrd Par 3 with a massive elevation drop. With slope, the ho…

A wonderfully designed, rolling hill course, in a rural setting, that is very well maintained. The greens are challenging but fair. They putt well although the speed could be increased a little. The fairways are nicely striped and framed with strategically placed sand traps and water hazards. The full length practice range is just a few yards from the clubhouse and features grass and quality mat teeing areas. The grass on the tee area was a little too long the day I played. I didn't notice a practice sand trap however. This is a course I could happily play every day. I strongly recommend it!

November 2nd and the temps are in the high 40s. Not many people on the course but they are charging "prime" rates at $80 something dollars for a round. The course was anything but prime. Leaves everywhere. Spent a lot of extra time looking for a ball each shot. Then when you get on the rock hard greens you gotta putt over leaves. No cart girl, vending machine didnt work. What exactly is prime? The ranger follows you around and nitpicks anything. Carts on the path? Buddy, the ground is rock solid and you close in 3 days. Lighten up.

Good quality course conditions. Tough skinny fairways. Overall challenging course. Practice range and putting green are top tier. Club house is above average. Lots of elevation on the back nine compared to the front.

Warning: If you play as a single or in a group of three, they will pair you with a random person and you have to SHARE your cart with them for 4 hours instead of letting you have your own cart. This is ridiculous for $70 on a weekday. The course is nice though

Fantastic course with great views on the back 9. Very well maintained greens and turf. Bunkers are well maintained and raked. Huge practice facility with a robust putting/chipping green. My only complaint is the pace of play, rounds can be 5+ hours. One of the best courses in the area!

Sounds like these guys' woes are well-known here and on Yelp, so I'm glad I'm not the only bearer of bad news. Long story short, this course just isn't worth the effort. Fun course, which I would usually say equates to me not caring if the staff sucks or not but honestly, they are so rude, inconsiderate and deranged that it makes the course not fun to play at all. I bought a patron card without second thought last summer because this is one of the closer courses to my house. I golfed there 16 times over the summer and only once - yes ONCE - did I not have any issues with how I was treated. Ev…

The executive course is so fun with lots of different, manageable terrain throughout the nine holes (hitting off of a ledge to a green that drops on two sides, a longer hole with woods on both sides, a water hole, hitting off a ledge and then going back uphill to the green). The trees are awesome the entire season and this makes for a great fall outing.
