In summary

Ingleside Resort & Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and scenic, challenging course layout, with many noting the greens are in good condition. However, some visitors have criticized the course's maintenance, particularly the fairways and cart paths, and noted the lack of amenities such as food and beverage services. There are also reports of inconsistent customer service experiences and slow pace of play.

Fairways were terribly bare. Greens were in good condition. Mostly seniors playing the course. Play was slow . Reasonable priced.

Owners and staff are awesome! Truly great reasonable hard working folks. I’m very grateful for them and the fact that they keep it going! Very walkable course. I like it a lot!

Had a terrible experience at a course. Employees harassed us and even flicked us off. I’m ashamed to say is one in our area. Booked tee time a month in advance for 6 for a buddies graduation gift. When I showed up the blonde lady in the pro shop started yelling at me about how many we had there and how we couldn’t play as a 6 some. After I agreed to split us up. They had booked another 4 some and 2 some in the same 9:30AM tee slot. We let those groups go off first and because of their pace of play our groups ended up together. They then came out to yell at us more about playing together even t…

A group of 11 men and I played the ingleside golf course on Monday. What a hidden gem! We will definitely be back. The fairways were long and the rough was treacherous. We all lost balls that were clearly in play, but still enjoyed it. The greens were quick and we had lots of chances at birdies, but as had been the case at many courses, the area around the pins were not level at all. Many balls rolled to the pin only to divert around it. It's hard to putt the ball harder with fast greens, we would and up 5 ft beyond. Otherwise a lot of fun. The old Ingleside Inn is sadly in disrepair and eit…

I play this course a few times a year when visiting family. If it was closer I would play it more often. The staff are friendly, the course is nice, and the price is a great value.

First time my son and I played course. Had heard horror stories that course was terrible!! I beg to differ, the course was in really good shape and we had a great afternoon. Not sure if it is under new management, but will deffinitly be back again. Great golf at a very affordable price!! Wish they had a food and drink service, but all in all a great experiance.

Course is difficulty to navigate if it’s your first time. No water on the course so pack a cooler. Course is continuous 18. Courses cart paths are pretty rough. Course plays very forgiving with hardly any water or OB. Three starts given for cost $36 a round w/ cart. Very nice greens, fairways and tee boxes were fair. Lots of elevation change! Overall had a great time playing this course, definitely caters to an average joe golfer.

I never write reviews but after playing only a few holes at this golf course I had to write a review to save people there time from playing probably the worse maintained golf course I have ever played. I would have given this course a zero if I could. There were Dandelions everywhere, you couldn’t tell where the fairway was, tee boxes were horrible. However, the worst part was the greens. My recommendation to anyone looking to play golf in the Staunton area would be to pay the extra $15 -$20 and play at the club at iron wood if you can.

One has to look past the history of this once grand but now old resort and golf course. Socially it was the place to be seen the first half of the twentieth century. The golf course is why I came, and what a pleasant surprise. The fairways, greens and rough are much better tended than I expected, from my recent years experiences here over the last few decades. I would add the course itself is as well tended as any I have played from Staunton to New Market this season. The office, " pro shop " is in the small building just after you turn off Rt.11 on the left. It's a delight to see an enterpris…

$38 on a holiday weekend is the selling point. Fun course. Not immaculate but in decent condition. Some of the greens were rough. They were all slow but ran true. I will play it again

It was a beautiful day and the vistas were amazing. Challenging course! We were there without any prior knowledge of the place and only discovered it through the VSGA VIP card program. Glad we went and played all 18 holes. As for the "resort", well, it was scheduled to be demolished in 2014...it is way overdue. Looks like a set from The Walking Dead. The golf course is the only thing being maintained and it needs some TLC. The "pro shop" is at the far end of the shopping strip IMMEDIATELY on the left after turning off Route 11. CRITICAL: take a cooler and plenty of water!!! There is NO food…
