In summary

Hueston Woods Lodge & Conference Center is appreciated for its friendly staff, beautiful views, and charming lodge atmosphere, with many guests enjoying the on-site dining and festive decorations. However, some visitors have raised concerns about the outdated and occasionally unclean accommodations, as well as issues with accessibility and safety in certain areas. While the property offers a range of activities and amenities, the condition of some facilities and the pricing have been points of contention for some guests.

My wife and I booked a 'Premier Cabin' at Hueston Woods Lodge for a romantic Valentine’s Day, but it turned into a nightmare immediately. This wasn't just 'rustic' or 'dated'—the cabin was filthy, dilapidated, and structurally unsafe. 1. Severe Safety & Fire Hazards: The most shocking part was the utility room. We found an active water leak dripping directly onto live electrical wires. The pipes were corroded, the vent pipes were obstructed, and there were exposed outlets hanging out of the walls. To make matters worse, there were no active carbon monoxide detectors in the cabin despite these…

Very friendly staff. Food at restaurant was large portions and very reasonable. Had a lake view room and got to enjoy the snowfall. Beautiful art work by an Ohio artist, Vicky Murphy.

I want to write a better review, I love this area of ohio, I grew up 15 mi South of the Lodge. This building is old, and it shows. It's hard to heat a gargantuan A-frame, the warm air isn't where you want to be, though it's probably more comfortable in summer. I ordered a steak at the restaurant, I will give that it tasted wonderful, but it was the toughest steak I've had in 30 years.

What a great place...all decorated for Christmas. I am sooooo glad we stayed there and not one of the generic chain motels in Oxford. I would 10/10 recommend this place. Ask for Micki when you make your reservation and tell her Bob sent ya, haha

I grew up going to this place. Still has that lodge charm. An onsite dining option, a gift shop and tons of exploring in the lake, creeks and wooded areas! Tons to see and do

A restaurant becomes non-compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) when it has physical or policy barriers that prevent people with disabilities from accessing its goods, services, and facilities. Non-compliance most often involves barriers in key areas, including: 1. Entry and Exit * No Accessible Entrance: Having steps at the main entrance without a ramp or lift alternative. * Improper Ramps: Ramps that are too steep (slope exceeds 1:12), too narrow (less than 36 inches wide), or lack proper handrails. * Narrow Doorways: Doorways with a clear width of less than 32 inches. * Hi…

We stayed at the Lodge for a Family Wedding close by. There was a beautiful view from the room and service was great but the rooms could use an update. Ours had leftover beer in the fridge, and smelled a bit musty (but this could've just been our room). But again, the view was gorgeous!

Rented a cabin, cute but very old. Bed frame was modified three times to fit smaller mattress. The bed spread was old. The furniture very old. But the place was very clean minus the dish wear. Definitely quite. With a jacked up price with fees of $313 it's way over priced. The staff was super friendly and nice. Place is really great just not worth the high price.

We stayed at Hueston Woods many times when my daughter was studying at Miami. It has always been great. When it came time to plan my daughter's wedding in the area, we picked the Fireside Room overlooking the pool and lake for the reception. It was amazing. The food was great. The whole staff was so helpful in planning and executing the event. The guests raved about it everyone enjoyed hanging out at the pool and in the common areas. I can't recommend it enough.

Beautiful Property. Lots to do. We traveled for our National Dog Show, and the Dog park and beach were a bonus. Cabins were well furnished and roomy.

We went to the lodge and restaurant for a special Christmas outing. The decorations were beautiful and the grounds were very pretty. The restaurant had a good selection of reasonable priced options. The service was good and it put us in the holiday spirit..
