In summary

Homestead Resort is praised for its beautiful and clean pools, enchanting environment, and friendly staff, providing a pleasant atmosphere for visitors. However, many guests express dissatisfaction with ongoing construction, limited dining options, and inconsistent service, which detracts from the overall experience. Some visitors also find the pricing for amenities and food to be excessive given the current conditions.

We bought a day pass at the pools. The pools were very nice and mostly empty, which we loved. It was $55 per person, which definitely wasn’t worth it - mostly because the service was terrible and amenities were absent. When we first arrived we tried to buy a pass at the check in only to find we had to buy it online. Despite going online and clicking where they said, it took me in one eternal round of clicking with no way to pay. Turns out you have to click on “pools” in the navigation, rather than from the adventures main page, otherwise you get a button that takes you back to itself. The gi…

We loved our experience here! Even though there was still some construction happening, they did everything they could to make the experience great! You can really feel how hard they try to ensure everyone has a great time and that it’s as easy as possible to get around the resort. The food at the milk house was great but the burgers are pricy. They have some fun table games that you can play while you wait for your food. We played chess and a few others. We also absolutely loved the pools! They’re beautiful. They are all very clean. They also have lawn games like corn hole on some really nice…

We stayed three nights mid-late April. The staff at check-in and bellman were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The food however, was a complete disappointment! We spent over $50 for two wraps and two drinks. It’s garbage! just a microwave convection oven premade wrap that’s stuffed with cheese and it was still cold in the middle! The crater was a neat experience! Not as hot as we expected. That’s no fault of the resort obviously as it’s a hot spring. The staff were nice with the exception of the guy at the crater, who had the personality of a stop sign.…

The pools here are amazing. There are many different ones and we swam in all of them. The room was also very nice and clean. Although I was the restaurant would have been open. I really wanted to eat in the spheres

This place seems to be inconsistent in what it offers. If you’re coming here you better pack your own food and drinks … of ANY KIND!! The restaurants are a joke they over charge for everything and feed you out of a microwave. We requested a globe experience… it was pathetic. A round table the size of the globe with ) chairs it was suppose to be a birthday dinner for 2. They brought 1 menu item at a time… weird! Then we were given a thousand excuses for why everything was not right based on the construction. Here’s what my thought process is.. DONT OFFER ANYTHING TILL YOU FINISH THIS MESS OF A…

The rooms at beautiful, but when we arrived, no soap, or shampoo. I had to go ask and they only found body one small container of body wash. The milk house only had two people working, and it was crowded. The coffee was wonderful, but waited over an hour for breakfast burritos and never got it. Receptions was great when we first checked in. Overall, clean room, no toiletries, and wait time for coffee and light breakfast items was sadly lacking. Pools are wonderful.

Enchanting environment with all the different buildings and quant rooms. So cute!! The outdoor firepits were 10/10 and the pool and hot tubs were so beautiful and fun, total resort vibes. We had dinner in a globe, and the vibe was special. There was construction going on with the main building so that was annoying but it will be great when it is done.

Our experience was very disappointing! We booked online and were not informed of the massive construction or that the restaurant was closed. The beautiful old buildings were blocked by construction shields. We weren’t offered any amenities. There weren’t even water bottles offered. Everything was for a fee. Our room was comparable to a motel room, tiny and completely devoid of any ambiance. We paid an outrageous price for what we got. The only plus was the maintenance man who had to come show us how to close the blinds. Not recommended!

We chose to ring in the New Year 2026 at the Homestead and left quite disappointed. The main parking lot had poor lighting and is an active construction zone. Various equipment surrounds the parking lot and the parking is not setup to accommodate guests or prevent confusion, especially at night. Upon arriving to our Luxury King Suite, we find a bag of laundry laying outside our door that was left behind from housekeeping and our rooms’s window was unlocked. Prior to arriving at the Homestead, we’d made reservations for 9pm at the sunroom for dinner. This NYE “event” was poorly and falsely adve…

I booked 3 Homestead Pool Day Passes totaling $225 for the weekend. When I showed up, the entire property is under construction with large loud machinery, dirt kicked up from the machines, and exposed construction everywhere. This was not advertised when I purchased such expensive passes. I did not end up going to the pools. The employee at the front desk told me she is unable to give a refund but she can email those responsible for the property and see if I could get one (but it is not likely she said). I asked to be cc’d on the email. I’ve received no contact, it’s been a week. I’ve tried c…

This used to be a unique, quaint village of cottages with charm. Now it's not. They are trying to upgrade but they ruined everything. Sadly, the new buildings and removal of trees changed the feel. But, I can deal with that. It's the poor management that needs to be addressed. The signage at the Homestead is sparse and it is incorrectly placed. The lighting is terrible. I missed a bottom step on the long, dark hike to the pools because the stairs had no lighting and it was dark. The lighting is so bad you can't even see your room number or where to tap your card to open the door. They are unde…

Recently, my husband, our children, and I stayed at the Homestead Resort in Midway. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. The resort was under construction during our stay, which limited access to planned amenities—most notably the Crater, which is the main attraction and a primary reason we chose this property. Additionally, the parking areas were gravel and extremely muddy, and the walk from the parking lot to our room was quite long. Our room, located near the Milk House, was updated and visually nice; however, there were several cleanliness concerns and a lack of basic…
