In summary

Hollybrook Country Club is highly praised for its friendly and accommodating staff, well-maintained course, and unique layout that includes a rare par 6 hole. The course is considered forgiving and suitable for beginners, offering wide-open fairways and minimal hazards. However, some golfers note that the greens can be inconsistent, and the abundance of par 3 holes might not appeal to those seeking a more challenging experience. The clubhouse provides basic amenities, and the setting is described as scenic and pleasant.

Some of the tee boxes could be a bit better but it's an awesome course with fantastic greens that are challenging. The fairways are pretty good and the rough isn't too bad that you still can find your ball easily. By far the best gravel cart path I've been on with no pot holes at all that actually allow you to stay on the path as much as you can. I'm saying this as of June 29th 2021

Not a bad golf course. Pretty forgiving. All greens are turtle back shaped.

I'm writing my review after golfing 9 holes here for the first time. I'll be critical first. For me, there are too many par 3 holes - 4 on the front 9. It was easy to know where I was going because the course is fairly flat which isn't much of a challenge. Now the good stuff. The golf carts are electric, quiet, and quick. There is a road leading to every next hole with nice stone signs. It is set in a valley with nice views. This experience reminds me of a scenic hamlet with a meandering stream through it. Clubhouse is clean and modern. The staff is really friendly. I'll definitely play here a…

Wide open course that’s good for beginners. There’s not many traps or hazards on this course. There’s not even that much tall grass. With that being said, you can easily still lose your ball in the “rough” as the grass is just tall enough to make it hard to find your ball. The fairway on most holes is mediocre IMO. The greens are a bit inconsistent and usually have a fair amount of dead/rough spots. It’s good enough for the casual golfer like me but I’m not sure how much serious players will like it. There’s no cell service here if you have tmobile, but there’s free wifi at the club house…

We really enjoyed our experience here. We planned to only do 9 holes but they told us we’d actually pay less to pay for 18 (during happy hour or some promotional period) and then we could play any number of holes beyond 9 that we wanted. We ended up playing the whole course and having a great time! Gotta love a par 6 on the first hole!

Golf: The course is unqiue and has a few more Par 3's than most courses, and it sports a Par 6, which is straight and really allows you to "Air" it out if you have that club in your bag. I have also used the club to host numerous dinners for the local fire department. The food is always excellent and the staff are awesome, courteous and service oriented. Mark and Elsie, the owners, are AWESOME to work with. Definitely a great business in the town of Spencer
