In summary

Hogan Park Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with some visitors appreciating the course's condition, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing, especially given the challenges of maintaining a course in a dry region. However, there are frequent criticisms regarding management practices, including issues with booking policies, overcrowding, and perceived unprofessionalism from staff. Additionally, some players express dissatisfaction with the driving range facilities and the handling of course operations, particularly in accommodating players and managing tee times.

If I could give a 0 that would be the most accurate. “Pro Manager Jhon B” is a total disgrace to the place. Very disrespectful and unprofessional. They work for the city and think they own the place. He threw the keys at me and my husband. City should have more control over employees and the way they operate and treat people.

Worst public course within 150 miles for sure. Has gone to absolute garbage the last two years and needs new management. It’s a city course. All residents should be able to play, not just if they have a group. So do what every other muni course does and let singles book into other groups if there’s open spots. Or get rid of management and get new management who knows how to operate and upkeep a city course. They also upped charges for driving range balls due to supply and demand. But Mats are literally concrete. Haven’t been updated in who knows how long. Should be a warning saying that you…

I have not been to many golf courses as I recently started playing the sport but I did enjoy playing here, I do like Ratliff better but I really have no complaints here. Went on a cold morning so I may have enjoyed it even more but all in all it was pretty great, its golf afterall

Feel like this review is going to say what everyone else is saying. Decent course but almost every single person who works there is on a power trip. I’m a VERY respectable person, mostly to people I don’t know. I’ve watched them countless times be so rude to me & the people who are paying good money to play there. I’d rather take the time out of my day and travel to any other public course around. It cost nothing to be nice!!!

The pro shop is very nice. The course had nice rolling hills very green. The golf carts looked and ran good. Very nice staff

Pro shop is clueless. To have someone ride along they make you pay for an entire round and rent a bag for them. $96 to bring my wife that just rode along in the cart. Unbelievable

Nice course, rude staff, can’t even get an extra cart even though they have spectators fee. And the staff giving you attitude for no reason. Now why do they have a spectator fee if they are just going to put their own rules. The course in ANDREWS is way better and have better staff and services. And the one in Odessa as well. Not coming back here again…

The range is great, the chipping green and putting green. Fairways are great too. The management needs improvement. I don’t like that you try to book a tee time days in advance and you don’t see an opening. Also they have a bad rule where you can only play after 4pm with no tee time. And if you want to play 9holes you have to wait until 6pm. The only public golf course in midland.

Every time we go to hogan it is usually nice and enjoyable (minus the crowd) but that is to be expected considering it is the only public course now in Midland. However, my family headed out to the range and purchased two buckets of range balls.. they kicked us off the range 40 minutes before close. When asked if we could finish the last bit out of our buckets they said no, they were already closed and we need to leave. Between what was left in my bucket and my husband, we had about a full bucket of balls left that went to waste. Not to mention they went up on their prices! Wasted $13 all beca…

Love the courses and the staff is good but since the change in operations (city involvement) we have not been able to use the facilities as much as before. Would be nice to go back to t times only on weekends and walkons during the week or at least make the website easier to use and start penalizing people that make t times and don’t show.
