A good buddy invited me to join him at Hidden Valley for a round of golf. I have to say, I'm not sure I'll be back any time soon. The good... the scenery is top notch! With the James River flowing next to several holes, the bluffs are gorgeous. The 2 young men manning the Pro Shop were great. And the course was in descent shape. The bad... it is a LONG ways out of the way to get there. The Pro Shop is getting demolished and a new one build. (This is great for the future, but not yet.) But my main complaint was the cost. $64 for 18 and a cart might be the going rate at other places. But those o…

Great location on the James River! Great price for 18 and cart! We had a foursome and a 10:15 tee time! We had a 5th person wanting to accompany us! We called to see if that was allowed during the weekdays and was told no, only in the afternoon! On the 1st tee there was a five some teeing off that we followed for 18 holes! Also after we played 4 holes we came by the clubhouse and a single walker jumped in behind us! She was hitting two balls, then decided to jump between us and the five some! She played about 5 holes and jumped in front of the guys playing the back side and went back to the cl…

If there's was a zero star option I would give it, got called in for 'playing too slow" and was told to let the group play through, then proceeded to wait 30 minutes to let them finish the last hole. Customer service was not great regarding this issue either. Never had problems on this course until now. The location is convenient but I won't be going back unfortunately or recommending to anyone.

Not a bad course for out in the country. They maintain their greens and tee boxes well. Not really a clubhouse to speak of drinks and snacks. Not sure if they serve hot food. I think you'd enjoy playing this course, I did.

It is called Hidden Valley for a reason because it is definitely hidden! A beautiful course that forces you to keep the ball in the fairway. The ground was really hard and there are trees on both sides so bring the golf balls you like the least. Course in very good shape and the greens are excellent. Well worth the drive and cost. Cart paths and clubhouse are rough at best but staff are great. Well done!

New Manager's ROCK! I hosted a huge golf tournament. It was like herding cats, but when dealing with this golf course, it was perfect! They worked very well with me and iI had some sudden changes, but they accommodates without any problems. The course was perfect some minor detours due to previous flooding, but they made it work. ZERO complaints. Host your next tournament here!

I did not get to play here because of the rain today, but they provided an immediate cash refund. The course looked to be in great shape, so I can’t wait to come back out when the weather cooperates!

This is a great country course. It is very enjoyable and reasonable green fees. I just wish it had a driving range.
