First time playing at this hidden gem of a golf course. True links style course located in South Haven Michigan. For as long as I have been going to South Haven I never knew this course was there. Pro shop is a little on the small side but well stocked and the staff was friendly and helpful. I believe it has a restaurant next to the Pro shop but I did not get to go in there on this trip. We started on the back nine and right away I was impressed with the course. The conditions were fantastic. The greens were in excellent condition, the fairways were well mowed and the rough was somewhere you d…

It really doesn't get much better than this. This is the quality I'd expect from an expensive country club. Not a $70 public course. Unbelievable. As you can see in the pictures, fairways were practically greens! Every part of the course is in pristine condition. Loved how every par 3 provided a unique challenge. Also loved the occasional "scoring" par 4 that provided a risk/reward opportunity. Nearly got lucky on 11 and hit the pin on a chip-in eagle attempt! All the extras were great too. Driving range, putting green, chipping green (with bunkers!), Great little club shop, and the food/be…

Very beautiful course; not a tree on it...was highly recommended by a friend of mine so I gave it a try. Arthur Hills design, super wide fairways, a couple tricked up holes, well maintained greens rolling 9 to 10, super nice staff, great halfway house food but $100 green fees seemed high but as they replied it costs a lot to maintain.

Beautiful course. The greens were in great shape and the course was well kept. As others have said this course does a great job using elevation, grass length, and sand to create unique challenges on each hole. The club house could use an upgrade but that’s minor.

Had just about as good of a weekend as humanly possible staying here in the cottages for 4 days. These cottages are absolutely perfect for a large family or guys trip. Also, the staff were all super from the pro shop to the hotel, management to the wait staff - all top notch. Golf is superb and make sure to try the Wednesday dinner on the patio. This place never disappoints and has earned my business for years to come

This is a true hidden gem of a course. Each hole is unique and asks a different question. It is very playable for all abilities, and better players can post a very good number, all while having a lot of fun hitting from different lies and angles. I never get tired of playing this track. The staff is wonderful. They are very helpful and very nice people. The condos are well laid out and provide a very nice place to stay.

Love the course. Great true greens and nice fairways. Bunkers need work. Overpriced and to not include range balls for $110 is pretty poor. No cart hoods. They pack it up as well making it slow. Edit- since management wanted to insult me and say that I don't know what a rain hood looks like. The screenshot from a video showing no cart hoods. Many of the bunkers are full of gravel. I thought my review was fair and honest. We can go back and forth if you'd like.

Fast, undulating, multi tiered greens. Fairways were open on some holes, making driver a safe bet. Other holes including dog legs and tight fairways made you really apply your course management skills! If you manage to stay out of the heather and expansive fairway bunkers you have a good chance of playing well. Definitely worth the greens fee. A beautiful and challenging track! I can't wait to play here again!

This track did not disappoint. Traveled to South Haven with 3 friends I’ve known since high school. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The course was in excellent condition. A beautiful layout, gorgeous fairways, greens were moving!, the largest sand traps known to man kind, pace of play rocked, and the spicy Bloody Mary was exceptional! Would play it again immediately. Nice job HawksHead!!!!

Enjoyed the course a lot. felt like we had the course to ourselves on a Sunday morning…didn’t appreciate pace of play warnings on cart gps screen on the last few holes of our round. we had no one behind us all day. and never saw the group in front of us. turn that off on the carts when you aren’t stacked with tee times.

Wonderful layout. No repetitive holes. Visually beautiful. Good course conditions despite 2 inches of rain last night. It challenges you in many ways but very fair: generous landing areas off most every tee.
