In summary

Hamlet Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing, making it a favorite among both local and visiting golfers. The course layout is noted for being fun and moderately challenging, with some picturesque holes that cater to a range of skill levels. However, some visitors mention limited food and drink options and occasional issues with the cart paths, while one reviewer reported an unpleasant interaction with the owner.

It was a fun challenging course with narrow fairways and a lot of small greens. (stay out of the rough) You need to play it a few times to know where not to hit it. Very reasonable green fees. One thing that could improve, would be, available food, drinks, snacks and the staff to be more friendly and welcoming. I'll probably play it again.

Slightly beat up tees, but overall the fairways and greens were is great shape. Greens were slow. Played from the blues and found the course challenging (thin fairways and postage stamp.greens), but still played well (79). Would definitely play again. No real food options and no outdoor seating for after the round loses a star.

Nice, well maintained course, although the cart paths can be bumpy. It is not extremely challenging, but it is a fun, short course. I really like that they have tee-time reservations on their website, so you can see what times will be less crowded. The electric carts are very quiet.

Course was looking great for the beginning of the year. The price of play at Hamlet is fantastic actually. We have a lot of fun there. Update Three months later. This course has got better weekly this summer. They have got this course really primed for us.

My husband and I played here on Saturday July 10. We are from Louisville Kentucky and played Swan Lake, Woodbury, and Hamlet in the past week and Hamlet was our favorite for value and quality! The walk on after 2 is super convenient. Everyone was incredibly friendly, the course was in great condition and lots of fun to play. The greens were challenging without driving you mad and the fairway is so well manicured that it was easy to spot our ball even in the rough. Highly recommend and we will be back whenever we are in the area.

This is a great course. It is well kept and has variety. Newer golfers will not lose as many golf balls as they might other courses. Friendly staff and friendly prices!

Great place! The owner is a sad White Sox fan. other than that, the whole staff are great people. The course is harder than it looks and the greens and fairways stay in good shape. It's off the beaten path and very quiet.

Wonderful 18-hole rural tour for the average to below-average (me) golfer. A handful of really picturesque holes, especially the 90-degree-dogleg #7. #1 is a par-4 of just the right length to start you off smiling —- and a good warmup for the funnel-shaped #2, a makable par-5 if you’re a perfect chipper.
