In summary

Grand Valley Golf & Country Club is praised for its friendly staff, approachable and forgiving layout, and good value, making it a popular choice for families and beginner golfers. The venue is also noted for hosting events like weddings and family gatherings, with commendations for its service and food. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the fairways and greens, outdated carts, and occasional organizational issues, particularly regarding tee times and course maintenance.

Honestly the course was really nice for all ages very simple and open, the staff are extremely friendly and we got the grilled cheese foursome deal for 18 holes and it was amazing as well. Definitely worth the money for 4 people. We spent around $50 each for 4 hours of fun and grilled cheese!!

Had a fun day overall, but the course definitely has its challenges — and not just in terms of play. It’s a pretty tight layout, so accuracy is key, and there’s not much room for error. The fairways could use some attention; they were a bit patchy in spots. Carts are showing their age and could stand to be replaced soon. Also ran into a bit of a lineup at the first tee — could’ve been better organized by staff. That said, the back 9 played better than the front and helped make up for a slow start. Still a decent round if you manage expectations.

Another fabulous family - huge family - gathering at Grand Valley Golf. I can't say enough about how excellent the venue is for our family. The kids love the space to have fun, the food is delicious, the staff & the service excellent. We are able to bring in Santa to visit with the kids and sings carols. It is now our 5th year having all of us under one roof to celebrate together and are grateful for finding a venue that feels like home! Thank you very much to John and his wonderful staff.

The carts are old and outdated and the Fairways are not in that good condition. But it's still a fun day out meeting new people staff are friendly

Course is in good conditions. Greens are great but very fast. Fairways a little hard but it's that time of the year. Good people work here. Met John, one of the owners. Stand up guy and appreciate the way he handles his work. Thank you john

Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend Booked a tee time for my daughter, her husband and my son Been some quality time with my kids while well Grandma babysat I am a seasoned golfer and play at many many courses I completely feel I was taken advantage of today The green fee in October was $75 per person plus $23 per person for card That's $98 per person to play at Grand Valley golf course in October I chose that golf course cuz I knew we might be a little bit slower with my daughter learning the game and that it was probably going to be economical I guess I should have checked the green fees before w…

I was Married here two weeks ago, and Overall we were very pleased with the result on the day. Our Day of coordinator Jimmy went above and beyond for us in every way, and was very accommodating when we asked for mobility assistance for elderly grandparents or the moving of decor from outside to inside! The only reason that we decided to give 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the bar staff not always being present during the open bar on the night of the wedding, and the inconsistencies with communication with the new owner for meetings during the transition as well as the tasting which was confir…

We had our wedding here this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing!! It all went so smoothly. The venue was clean, arranged, service was great, food was AMAZING!! Lots of comments from our guests on how delicious the food was! We also had our rehearsal dinner here (I planned that last minute) and Jimmy & Scott were very accommodating!! They had set up a private room for us - I was expecting a table, table cloths and plates but they went above & beyond and decorated it for us !! This made me tear up! I'm so happy they were a big part of our special day! They also took very good care of our…

Some Tee boxes could use some work and the fairways are a little rough in places making for a bumpy ride. Overall the course is enjoyable and laid out nicely. The staff is very friendly and helpful, I will be playing there again.

Honestly wish I could give this a higher score. The staff, organization and overall administration was good. Unfortunately, the course is in really really rough shape. I don't think i have ever played a course with so much dead grass and dirt. Tee boxes, fairways, greens and even practice areas showed significant degradation. Gounds were extremely hard where I almost broke a few tees trying to push it into the ground. Rocks on the tee box also put some good wear on my driver. The kitchen staff got hit by sickness (unsure if it was covid), so all they had to offer were pre-made sandwiches. A…

Not a bad course, fairly easy and decently maintained, the greens could definitely use some work; some were faster then others but some were also pretty bumpy or had patches of grass scattered throughout. This place is very beginner friendly as it seems most players that were there at least when we went were beginners which is fine as pace of play was still decent! Overall an okay course but wouldn’t pay the rate they are charging we had the underpar deal which made it worth it
