Great place, friendly staff. And beautiful course. Can't wait to play it in the summer.

Every time I go home to visit my parents I try to get in one round of golf at the Gaines County Golf Course. You do not need a reservation, and can walk into the clubhouse and be on the course in less than 10 mins. Super friendly service and staff and the course is a great challenge to play.

Great golf course. Well maintained and nice greens. Fairways very well groomed. It’s listed as a private course open for public play. Meaning members play in large groups, lots of slow play on weekends. Wouldn’t be so bad, but these members aren’t too courteous to let faster players play through. We waited at every box & fairway & should have been allowed to play through a slow group ahead of us but they didn’t let us through. Playing ready golf still took us 4 1/2 hours.

Well, they are trying to make a nice course it seems. All new cart paths and lots of work done to greens. Unfortunaly they have lost the rest of the course. Dont know if was mis managed or unforseen winter weather but mostly dirt fairways and rough. There was no drinkable water so i forced to buy a bottle of water instead of being able to fill up my bottle. I don't know if that is the norm or just something to do with the plumbing they are fixing. Pro shop guy was nice, not nice enough to tell me the fairways were gone before I paid but still nice. I'm giving 2.5 stars because it looks like th…

Forgot 2 range finders on the golf cart , called the same day and they did find both rangefinder and confirmed both rangefinders were found and were gonna be placed under my name at the front desk . 2 weeks later called back and now they only have 1 of my rangefinders . Saying that alot of people come and claim rangefinders . When they already confirmed and said they would hold under my name both rangefinders. Not okay to just be giving away rangefinders already called for by there actual owners.

Diamond in the rough! We have frequented the course several times over the past 2 weeks and I never disappoints. I'm out of town on work so I had to rent a set of clubs, they had me covered. The course is maintained better than some more expensive courses that I've played. The greens are nice and the staff is extremely helpful. I will be back in the near future for sure.

Well worth the drive from Lubbock. Fairways are great, almost no hard/dried out spots. Greens were phenomenal; fairly quick but consistent and true. I'd recommend this course to anyone in the West Texas area, especially at the price point.

Just played in their annual Ball Buster tournament, the event was professionally run and the course is in excellent shape. The new front 9 greens make the course more of a challenge. Loved it and I'm looking forward to playing in the upcoming Memorial tournament in July.

Decent little golf course for the middle of nowhere. Not much resembles grass on the course, but it was priced accordingly.

Where do i begin. First i call to get a tee time, employee says i dont need one since i was coming later in the day, when we get there we were given a free bucket of range balls because the people in front of us were too slow, then after our second hit the manager drove up and asked to re-locate us to a different hole because we were going "too slow". Absolutely do not recommend this place. If you want a great golfing experience go to Yoakum County. Good grass, great people.
