In summary

Forest Park Golf Course is appreciated for its beautiful setting, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both casual and seasoned golfers. The course layout, designed by Pete Dye, offers a mix of open and technical shots, although some elements of the original design have been removed over time. While many enjoy the affordable rates and overall experience, some visitors have noted issues with maintenance, such as uncut grass and deteriorating cart paths, as well as occasional slow pace of play.

It was mainly the park itself that was visited, so my Great nephew could enjoy family time with both sides of his great grandparents. We had pizza from pizza hut from brazil which was good too. Beautiful park and area. 4/5 generation photo was taken

Wow, Forest Park. I have SO many memories here. Forest Park is where I played high school golf. I remember practice rounds and tournaments here. The range doesn't have golf balls, so you had to hit/pick your own. Some amazing holes and a great layout. There are other golf courses in the area, but nothing beats Forest Park. FORE!

This was our first time to go and the three of us were all impressed! Polite, friendly service in the shop and the course is immaculate. There was even a pretty welcome cat! Challenging for beginner golfers, like us. It's a beautiful course with many large shade trees and a mid-range rest area. Quite affordable rates in comparison to some of the other surrounding courses. We will definitley return. Thank you!

Came to play at 2:30 on a Saturday. Got told that I couldn’t go out because a cart guy wasn’t there. Acted like it was my loss that were closing early. Definitely a let down considering it’s one of two courses in the town.

Played here Feb 9th, which was abnormal! Came down from NWI to play, and I thought the course was very solid, but not much more than that. Everybody was really nice, and I'd play here again if I wasn't 3 hrs away. But just an average course, nothing wrong with that.

This is a nice municipal golf course with a decent price. The Pete Dye designed course is relatively flat with the exception of a few holes on the front nine. Unfortunately they have removed many of the fairway bunkers and other elements from Pete Dye's original design. This has made the course a little more cookie cutter and less difficult.

Much of the course had not seen a mower for quite a while. It was not too wet to be mowing when we were there but only a couple fairways had been mowed. To be fair, this was Oct 1 about 3 days after hurricane Helene soaked our area -

Love the course and the staff truly cares about one of our local courses. Troy and his crew do an outstanding job keeping the course in good shape.

Not sure what is going on. But I have played this course the last two weeks . It is not being maintained the way it has in the past. Grass needs to be cut cart paths are terrible. I use to really enjoy the course.

Good little course. Great staff! I also enjoy laying on the course watching the fireworks in July! Very reasonably priced!
