In summary

Eagle Pointe Golf Club is appreciated for its beautiful and challenging layout, with undulating terrain and well-maintained fairways, making it a popular choice for golfers in the Houston area. The staff is generally praised, and the course is considered a good value for the price. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the greens, slow pace of play, and occasional management issues such as overbooking and lack of resources like carts and range balls.

I normally don’t leave bad reviews, but today’s experience was extremely disappointing. I drive over an hour to play at this course because I usually enjoy it, but this visit was unacceptable. It took three hours just to play the front nine, which is unbelievable for a Tuesday morning. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but by the time I reached the 14th hole, I saw seven people teeing off at once. You would expect management to monitor pace of play, track carts, or send notifications to speed up groups—just like many other courses do—but that clearly wasn’t the case today. I ultimately lef…

Absolutely love playing this course! No where in the Houston area will you find so much undulation. Beautiful and challenging course. I see a lot of people leaving reviews about the greens. Every public course I’ve ever been to has ups and downs with the greens. It’s not that serious. And let’s be honest, you weren’t going to make that putt anyways!! Haha if you’re someone who enjoys going to different courses, absolutely add this one to your next weekend with the boys. Lastly I’ll say there are a lot of course out there that charge an arm and a leg for a weekend rate. But not here! Price is f…

Played today in the afternoon and was a quick round and it is a beautiful property, but that’s where the positives end. This course is in complete disrepair. I play golf 40+ times a year and have played every public course within 40 miles of the center of Houston and this is up there with the worst conditions I have ever seen. The “greens” have little to no grass…they are dirt patches. Bunkers completely unplayable, fairways torn up and not well kept. It is kind of laughable that they charge what they do. A $25 municipal course is in better condition. Place has potential because of the rolling…

Best course for the money. Worth the trip out of houston. Greens are rolling 12-13 right now. Tee boxes are zoysia and spotless. They just had their club championship and course is in great shape. Great staff as well.

Great course customer service was horrible first time there and the blonde lady at the front was rude. She made smart remarks for simple questions I asked. The course was also extremely over booked they ran out of carts by 11 a.m! Just poor management all around

Played this course on 4/9/25. As already great layout and the improvements they are making to the course will make it even better. The new holes 17 and 18 are awesome. The only negative comment about the course is the greens. The greens were in terrible shape.

They don't answer the phones. After reading the other reviews. I think they don't care about customer service or the course itself. Thanks for not answering it will save me from wasting time and money coming there.

Good course, well maintained. Only Issue I had was our tee time was pushed back. We were suppose to tee off at 1:33 and Eagle Pointe did not let us tee off till 2:05. We only got to play 15 holes due to starting late.

Have played this course multiple times now. Good location, excellent price for a great course. Would be 5 stars but for the this: playing one Saturday, one of the employees happened to get off and tee off with 4 others in front of us(5 some). They were completely oblivious or didn't care that they backed us and 3 other groups behind them while in front of them there were 3 open holes due to their slow play. Upon informing the pro shop at the turn of this and that it took 3 hours to get thru 9 holes, we were told "that's the way it is on the weekend" 5.5 to 6 hour rounds as they have no marshal…

Pretty course, good pro shop. Looks like they're putting money into the place as well. Reason why its two stars is that we drove 2 hours away for a 1245 tee time. We got to course 30 min early to putt and chip. BUT there were at least 20 groups ahead of us! I have never seen anything like it. The head pro had a skins game and everything got backed up, he stated it was only a 20 min wait no biggie. Yea right. We tee'd off at 230. Got to number 12 and it was almost dark. I want to give it another shot but i don't trust the pro, for obvious reasons.
