Des Moines Golf & Country Club

Fun pool, good set up. Although we have had problems with the restraunt in the pool area, first we ordered 3 fries and they only gave us one basket, then the second time they forgot about our order and we had to grab it ourselves.

12/25: nice place and delightful dining experience. I've lived in Des Moines since 1970 and this is the first time I've ever been to the club.

Staff is amazing. Best lunch in town. If you have young kids it’s an amazing investment. The pool and the year round activities are so well done. And you can’t beat the “Club Cone” for lunch. Just ask for it. Should have joined sooner.

I held my wedding cocktail hour and reception at DMGCC and it was one of the most flawless nights I’ve ever experienced! The event director, Samantha Richards, is a superstar. She is on top of everything, knows all of the best vendors, and she is WELL known by all of them. I trusted Samantha with a lot, and felt like she had it all under control. The space was gorgeous, getting ready with hair and makeup and getting dressed in the lounge was fabulous. They really are a well-oiled machine when it comes to big events. Just driving to work this morning and someone managed to clear the fence and hit my car with a golf ball. They have fences but if driving on University be careful of flying balls over the fence...

My husband, both of my kids and I absolutely love this place. It has such a scenic atmosphere. All the employees are kind and it's kept well maintained. I wish I knew the name of the gal who walked by and picked up my daughter's water bottle as she dropped it while having a moment and soothed her swiftly and brought a smile back to her face while demonstrating complete professionalism. Thankyou all for making this place so special.

Great facility. Spent the Solheim Cup week there and would love to experience it once things have returned to normal.

Des Moines Golf and Country Club is absolutely top-notch in every way. The courses are beautifully maintained and challenging, with stunning scenery throughout. The clubhouse, pool, and fitness facilities are all first class, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond to provide friendly, professional service. Whether golfing, dining, or attending events, the experience is always outstanding. One of the best places in the area for both members and guests—highly recommend!
