In summary

Deer Run Country Club is appreciated for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and affordable pricing. Many visitors enjoy the food and drinks, particularly the Friday fish fry and burgers, and the venue is praised for hosting events successfully. However, some guests have experienced slow service and inconsistent food quality, and the golf course conditions are occasionally noted as needing improvement.

I really enjoyed visiting Get Run. I planned to visit the actual course, the mini-golf course, and the bar and restaurant. The owner clearly cares about his course. The food was good, and the drinks were well-priced. I invite you to visit for yourself and enjoy.

Always feel welcome at Deer Run. You can tell the owner works hard on the course. You really can't beat the price. Awesome burgers, and they have fish on Friday. Always the best service!

There's nothing like a Friday night fish fry in Wisconsin. I had beer battered haddock and it was yummy. The breading was done all the way, which is important. American potato salad and coleslaw are great too. My husband got the seafood platter. Good stuff! Slaw of course and the German potato salad did not disappoint. The only reason there is not 5stars is because of the desert. We ordered cheesecake. Not sure what was going on there. I think they were trying to do a salty/ sweet savory effect but oh boy! It did not mess well. The crust was so salty I thought maybe someone used salt instead o…

Waited 15 minutes at table, no one ever stopped to offer service, never saw any employees except in kitchen or behind the bar

Nice inside, wasn't busy at 5pm on good Friday. Bartender was good. Sea food plate was a little over cooked, cocktail sauce was actually salsa with no horseradish, tartar sauce was good, rye bread was good, cheesy hash browns while plentiful could do without the kinda raw onions in it.

I finally got over there to try out the food that always looks so good posted on FB but, chicken salad was on the smallish side and the chicken was dry... Also, not sure if there was much alcohol in the Moscow Mule either, I'm a lighter weight and 1 mule gives me a buzz on... this did not 😒 Waitress was nice; view was nice.

Cons-I called several times to schedule pizza for around 20 people with no call backs. This seems to be result of staffing shortages many are suffering from. Pro-We showed up and ordered ten pizzas which came out promptly. The food and drinks were good and the pricing was fair. Friendly staff and good service. The patio area was a nice place to hang out and socialize. I would recommend them.

The overall quality of the food was very poor. I ordered the cheese curds and the inside was half frozen. I told our server about it and all that was done was that put them in a microwave making t hem chewy and soggy. Also the steak sandwich was way over seasoned and very thin. The French fries were thin and very dry.

I was fortunate enough to play a free walking round here, courtesy of the Oshkosh Golf expo. Clearly, the course had been hit hard by flood damage recently, and I'm impressed that there was a course to play, even if it had some makeshift grass-roll greens. I'm not sure if the fourth hole and sixth hole are flipped regularly or if it was just another temporary fix, but it made the game more interesting, as if I were playing on an old fashioned links course. The narrow fairways on most of the holes definitely put me in my place, so be warned: if you struggle to hit your driver straight, this cou…

Staff was nice and bar area was pretty well laid out. Good family atmosphere. The golf course wasn't worth the stop as it's taken care of for the weekend drinker looking to play cheap golf. Greens were long and burnt out, fairways with weeds and bad spots all over, and at least e temporary holes. It was a good laid back time for some beers but not one if you want some good golfing.

Braun's Deer Run served as the venue for our son's rehearsal dinner - 50 guests for fish fry. Glen offered generous help & choices to accommodate our group & allow our event to feel personal. We showed up early to decorate & enjoyed really good chicken tenders as we worked. Cari & Chandra efficiently took our orders, bantered with guests, and laughed with us all night long. Derrik & Glen threw down in the kitchen, handling the regulars + our big group masterfully. McCoy ran sides & offered spirited support, and Savannah ran her bar, serving up drinks for everyone. Our newlyweds-to-be couldn't…
