In summary

Crandon Park Golf Course is frequently praised for its stunning natural beauty, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a memorable destination for golfers in the Miami area. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with the condition of greens and fairways, as well as the high cost of green fees. Additionally, the pace of play can be slow during busy times, which has affected some players' experiences.

Remarkably well maintained course with a friendly staff. Location is truly incredible, a true natural beauty! The wildlife here will add some excitement to the round and the scenic views and sunsets will take your breathe away. If you're a local, it's a good tip to save on rounds as a Patron Card member, absolutely one of my favorite places to play around Miami. -Johnny Michael

FL has drought conditions right now, but even under the best conditions, I do not believe this place is worth the price ($223). Every green had multiple sand patches, tee boxes are pretty beat up too. Fairways were decent, but the rough was pretty uneven. Other than Doral, I'm not sure what other public options are near here. I've heard Miami Beach Golf Club is a possibility, but I've never played it.

Such a beautiful course - and amazing, friendly staff! We thoroughly enjoyed our round, and can't wait to come back to play this spectacular course! Definitely a highlight of our visit to Miami.

For a such a great location, this was is a poorly managed course. Pro shop staff friendly. Starters were so fixated on ensuring my 16 year old, who has a driver's license, didn't drive that it didn't allow us to start on time. The course was packed. However multiple twosomes and a few stray 5&6'somes. That's fine on a day when its not busy....but when its busy, people have to be paired to keep pace of play up. We were only able to play 12 holes, of the 18 we paid for, because pace of play was horrendous. First 9 holes were ~3 hours. Expected more due to the awesome locations.

When it comes to choosing where to tee it up for your next round of golf in the Miami area, golfers have a lot to choose from. There are over 40 public and private courses in Miami-Dade County alone, making it one of the most golf-rich counties in the state. The County itself operates 6 golf courses at five properties. I recently had the opportunity to play what many consider the County’s top two courses, Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne and Palmetto Golf Course. Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne is located inside Crandon Park, which was once part of the largest coconut plantation in the United State…

10/12/2022: Although some are still with patches of weeds, the greens are getting much better with good speed. The greens are hard so it's better to have high approach shots to ensure they stay on. It's a tough and long course. 07/27/2022: It's a fun and challenging course with views of Key Biscayne. There are some forced longs and strategic dogleg shots. The greens are small with very good speed and plenty of undulations. The fairways are the worst parts of the course since they are very rough and yellowish, probably due to a recent punch. Luckily, we didn't see a mosquito issue as other rev…

Absolutely unacceptable — do not waste your money Crandon Golf Course is in abysmal condition and should be ashamed of charging these green fees. The course is completely neglected. Divots cover every fairway, huge sections have no grass at all, and several tee boxes are so beaten up they are barely playable. This isn’t a seasonal issue or bad luck — this is systemic neglect. They are clearly relying on the location and name while delivering a product that is nowhere near acceptable. It feels like a cash grab, not a golf course. Charging premium prices for what is essentially a dirt track i…

What happened?? Played here yesterday (Nov 14, 2023) for the first time in a while, but unfortunately it will be the last. Golfers beware! This place is in horrible condition. It was really depressing to see the condition of the fairways and greens. And really quite embarrassing for the county and most importantly the superintendent to see these deplorable conditions. What possible excuse can anyone have to allow a gem of a course like this to fall this disgracefully low? This place is and always has been the most beautiful bucolic tropical setting unmatched anywhere in Miami, but what a bli…

My son and I had the pleasure of playing an 18-hole round at Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we teed off, we knew we were in for something special. The course is spectacular — lush fairways framed by palm trees, sparkling water hazards, and breathtaking vistas of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline. Every hole offered something unique, with just the right mix of challenge and playability to keep things interesting for both seasoned golfers and casual players. Several holes had us thinking strategically, with water coming into pla…

I have played Crandon Golf course numerous times.and I consider.it the best in Miami . I played all.the Doral courses but they don't compare the scenery with several holes on the Ocean an outstanding view.across .the water of downtown Miami. IT is a challenge but rewards good play. If you go to Miami.to play golf don't skip this one

We truly enjoyed the Crandon Golf experience! Ann and Jerry were so helpful and friendly providing us with tips about the course. We used both the putting and driving range. The course itself is long and quite a few sand traps nestled along the bay and mangroves. We saw hawks, alligators, herons, Raccoons and alot of iguanas! The only comment would be the price...they don't offer a discount on this average course until after 2pm ($150). So if you dont mind paying for it - check it out!

Great and hard course, beautiful scenery though! Staff is friendly and very helpful. They having a range and a putting area. Only downside is that there is a lot of gnats and mosquitoes, specially at dusk, so bring a lot of repellent. Would recommend though!
