Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course is a hidden gem nestled in the hills of Melbourne, Arkansas, and well worth the 2.5 hour drive this reviewer made to see if the course lived up to the title of “best public golf course in Arkansas.” Spoiler: it absolutely did. Stopped for lunch, and the quality of the French Dip, and the quesadillas were as good as it gets. Absolute the best around here. Yuengling on tap was another treat. Recommended.

My brother and I played Cooper’s Hawk in Melbourne Friday afternoon. The course looked great. I know it’s been a dry summer but one couldn’t tell it as the greens and fairways were perfect. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a great time!

The front nine nine apparently was not playable due to aeration and during the second back nine whoever was doing the aerating got extremely close to me and made it very hard to play golf it seems kind of rude to be aerating in the middle of a round

I've been around this game for 50+ yrs. This course is rated the #1 public course in Arkansas and it is well deserved. Only a 4.5 hour drive from St. Louis and well worth it! The pro shop staff is super nice as well!
