In summary

The City of Mason Golf Center is appreciated for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, with recent renovations enhancing the clubhouse and amenities. However, some visitors have experienced issues such as slow pace of play, inconsistent course conditions, and communication lapses regarding construction and policies. While many enjoy the overall experience, others have noted concerns with customer service and management practices.

Since the new renovation, the clubhouse has had a huge update. They have a huge dine in room and bar. Parking is ample. Tee times are typically followed as scheduled which is great since they don't seem to be like most courses and schedule tee times one on top of the other causing long wait times in between holes. The course itself seems to be well maintained and offers a decent level of difficulty. Staff is helpful and friendly.

The course clearly had a fungus in the fairways and crabgrass on the greens. Just played in an outing, I would say it’s fair. It has great potential, cool course. The houses are close to the fairways.

I’ve played golf all over the US, and this was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. The day was already very very slow due to the cold and drizzle, but the way we were treated made it much worse. I paid for both myself and my stepdad, and we were told we could have two carts. Right before tee off, someone drove out to the tee and expressed they are charging me an additional $25 for the second cart on top of what I already paid…simply because my 70-year-old mother wanted to come along, enjoy the day, and take a few pictures. She wasn’t playing just watching. Side note… whom…

Very nice course with a good layout. Greens and fairways were top notch. Would recommend. Played again today for early season. Good shape for March.

90 degrees outside. Was told there was no water or cart girl on the course but a ranger would be around with a cooler...Never saw him until the turn where he was sitting under a shade tree...When we asked about it he said it wasn't that hot because there was a walker on the course. He laughed and said there was water fountains but didn't work. Was very condescending. We kept getting messages saying we wer 15 / 20 minutes behind on pace..That's because we had people sharing golf bags in front of us and groups of slow play..Never saw a ranger til 16....same one that was setting under a tree...5 h…

Nice course friendly staff. Was not told the front 9 was under construction and we consistently could not find the next hole. Made front 9 in under 2 hours and was told we couldn’t stop at the clubhouse due to league play(was not informed before starting). Never golf here awful communication.

The carts were in terrible condition and the overall operation was disappointing. Clubhouse service was lacking—no staff at the cart barn, and it took 15 minutes just to check out and buy a glove. Poorly managed and definitely not a course I’d recommend.

Only complaint , the bunkers on the back nine are absolutely terrible. Greens and fairways are great .

The course has a nice layout It seems to be having sporadic grass issues in the fairways The bunkers show signs of lack of maintenance Definitely not what I've seen there in the past

My first time playing here and the course was under construction. I was lucky and played with a friend who knew the course and the current layout with the course renovation. The staff was great and overall had a great experience!

It was a wet day at the course and some holes are currently under construction but they have 4 holes on their Academy Course that they're able to substitute to make it a full 18. The Grizzly is my "Go to" public course. Love the staff, the course and the outdoor patio, especially in the summer with live music.

Much improved customer service, layout is fun. Condition isn’t great but the greens roll a decent speed. The hold back is golfer management. Waited all day, had to leave with 5 groups on hole 11. Twosomes not paired and gaps.
