I did a review on this course 6 months or so ago and it was not good. I played twice last month and would give it 3 1/2 stars now. You can see that they are bringing the course back and I’m encouraged by the improvements. Still a few holes that are rough (fairways ragged and not defined) but it’s getting better. Greens are not great but much better than they were. They are puttable now.

My experience as a new golfer in the operation 36 program led by Coach Rick Gay and at the Charles T Myers course has been 5 stars! Not only have I thoroughly enjoyed my group lessons and seen a HUGE impact in my game, but I also frequent the driving range and par 3 practice area where it’s always easy to get a spot to practice. Highly recommend the programs under Coach Rick and the learning facilities at Charles T Myers!

Really enjoyed my first time playing Charles T Myers. Pro shop attendant was super nice. I called last minute for a tee time and he fit me in and was very friendly. Greens in really good shape and roll true. Love the wide fairways. Holes have a lot of really nice character to them. Course is well maintained. Was a fun round and would definitely recommend playing. Tom S

Played on this course the day of my birthday but it wasn’t as pleasant as the group in front of me was four people taking 30 - 40 seconds per shot. I had to wait up to 10 minutes for them to clear the hole so I could tee off. I wanted to call the Marshalls, but it was my first time and I didn’t want to cause a riot since they were regulars. That being said, I don’t think I’ll be back here anytime soon. I personally don’t think it’s the best in CLT

Just a horrid excuse for a golf course these days. Not sure what’s worse, the greens or “fairways”. Place used to be at least decent and worth the money… sadly, not anymore. Do better Chuck!!!

Wow, this course has gone downhill in a big way. Apparently the management has changed and Ratcliff is no longer in charge. As a result, no alcohol sales. Worse, it’s like they stopped maintaining the course. This was once a decent public track. For the heavy play it gets, greens were always in good shape. Now, the rough is severely overgrown, greens are beat up, and tee boxes are bare (some have trash). Not sure that I’ll be back with the plethora of options in the area.

Whoever the lady was that was the starter for the 11:57 tee time on August 21. Please do better. I had about 10 minutes before my tee time you came to the range to find who was with that tee time(11:57) to put me with an earlier group that I wasn’t assigned to just because they were ready but my tee time wasn’t with them…. then gave me attitude and tried to take my cart to make me ride with someone i didn’t know or came with and had all the attitude in the world and said next time we will be taking the cart. Mind you I was on the range still warming up with balls left. You came to find me to t…

I enjoy playing Myers regularly - even though it is not as nice as an exclusive country club. They are making some needed improvements, such as just putting new sand in the sand traps, etc. If you pay the reasonable annual fee, $75 the first year then $25 each following year - you get $5 off per round - resulting in a $31 total green & cart fee. Very reasonable! The course is laid out well - challenging enough without be extremely difficult. I’m looking forward to the additional planned improvements such as upgrading some of the cart paths. The staff is friendly. They open a nice new teachin…

One of the best municipal courses I have ever played. Wide open, greens in decent shape, fairways looking great. Great price. Great driving range/practice facilities.

It’s a mid tier course with mid tier to slightly above mid tier prices. Course isn’t too bad but had a very sour experience. A lot nicer courses for $10 more or same level courses elsewhere for lower price. I’d personally recommend elsewhere. Our group was kicked off the 80 yd 3 hole par 3 course after paying for a $60 round that was 5 hours and with aerated greens (with no warning) on a midday weekday round. Seems silly to kick people off and expect them to pay $20 for 3 80 yd holes after a full round of golf on freshly aerated greens. Would have potentially paid it as well except for the g…

Course is overpriced by $20 minimum. Sunset hills is somehow in much better shape in every way. Used to be great. Now its overpriced and in terrible shape. The poor shape would be understandable if they weren't charging as much as courses in the area that are in much better shape for the same price. 1 star is generous for these prices. Tee times at 3:06, 3:11, and 3:15 today. Overpriced, poor shape and greedy with the tee sheets. Terrible combination.

My experience on the golf course was positive. I couldn't help but be pleasantly surprised by the impeccable course conditions. The fairways were lush and well-maintained, and the greens ran true and smooth, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the game. The pace of the round also left a positive impression on me. Considering the day of the week, it was just right. We didn't feel rushed, yet the round moved along at a comfortable speed. If anything, it was almost a little too fast! The attention to detail in maintaining the course and ensuring an optimal pace of play truly stood out. It's clea…
