In summary

Butler Park Pitch & Putt Golf Course is praised for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and scenic location near Lady Bird Lake, making it a beloved Austin staple. Visitors appreciate the laid-back, short par 3 layout, which is ideal for casual play, and the convenient amenities such as club rentals and on-site food trucks. However, some guests mention that the course can become crowded, especially on weekends, leading to slower play and longer wait times.

We’ve loved golfing at Butler Pitch & Putt for years! It’s truly such a special Austin gem. This November, we were lucky enough to have our wedding here, and the entire experience was incredible. Sean and the entire staff were amazing from beginning to end, helping us imagine and create the perfect experience. We were able to incorporate both traditional wedding elements along with unique and fun golf games... all right under the incredible Austin Skyline... it was truly magical! Something we couldn’t have pulled off anywhere else! Every detail felt personal and tailored, and the whole event…

If you’re in Austin and haven’t played Butler Pitch & Putt yet… you’re missing out. We brought our team out here for a morning round and it ended up being one of those days you don’t forget. Some great shots, plenty of bad ones, but all good vibes the entire time. This place just feels different. Right along Lady Bird Lake, super walkable, short holes, no pressure at all. You don’t have to be “good” at golf to enjoy it, which is probably why everyone looks like they’re having a good time out there. There’s a ton of history here too. It’s been around since the 1940s and you can feel that lo…

We had a great time with our dog! We went during the week as we’ve been told that the weekends are busy and peak time. Great day out and no pressure to be the best at golf it’s all a bit of fun. The staff were great to interact with and very helpful! Can’t wait to go again :)

This was my first time here - the staff in the clubhouse explained the process to make it feel easy. You can rent clubs, balls and purchase drinks, dranks and dranky dranks! You literally can walk up empty handed and they’ll supply everything you need to enjoy the 9-holes. The course moved fast even with a group of 8 ahead of me. Took about 2 hours to complete. Fun, inexpensive and friendly environment even for beginners.

We came here around 10am on a Saturday and there was a 2 hour wait. There’s lots to do while you wait like practice your chipping, putting, corn hole, or grabbing food at the food truck! You can’t beat the price and it’s nice that you can rent the 2 clubs you need and balls are cheap. I took a star off because of the inefficiencies which caused us to actually walk off halfway through. Groups range from 2 to 6 people. At every hole, we were waiting for 3 groups to finish so around ~20 minutes. Nothing kills your vibe more than finishing a hole and then standing around. When it’s your turn, th…

This place is truly an Austin staple. Its a small par 3 course with the longest hole being 120-ish yards. The only thing I don't like is that it is always packed on weekends(I cant blame people for enjoying fun things though) but, there are other things around that you can do while you wait for your ball to roll to the front of the queue. The food truck has awesome burgers, the breakfast sandwiches in the club house are great, and the cost is fairly cheap.

Great place to enjoy being outdoors in the city and play a bit of golf. Bring your own clubs or rental them on site. No balls, no problem, they have them too. Just go and enjoy this gem.

Great atmosphere, good food, and oh ya... an enjoyable Par 3 course (9 holes) that will supply you with anything you need, including clubs & balls. Dog are welcome, so bring your "furry friends" if you got one 😁.

This is one of the most special and truly Austin places. Come as a single and jump in with friendly folks, or roll in with a group of 6. They have really worked hard this last year in repairing the grounds, but it’s no country club. Great staff and selection of drinks to take on the course. Here nearly every week, and can’t imagine not having it here.

Gave this place a few tries. Won't be back honestly. Called early the other morning to make sure everything was okay up there(Because I S you not, they always have something going on). They FAILED to mention they were doing course maintenance for the day. If I would've known that, I never would've drove 25 minutes to get there. Fast forward, we pay, and a group of 12 is starting their round. I asked the Shop if they're all teeing off together?(TWELVE PEOPLE, NO EXAGGERATION) They didn't really give me a solid answer, and they don't really care about their own rules. The course is mediocre at b…

The customer service at this place leaves much to be desired, so it's best not to expect too much in that regard. However, once you get past the service, you're in for a fantastic experience! The atmosphere is incredibly cool, and the beer cart lady, in particular, stands out for her friendliness and helpfulness. Overall, it was such a fun time, making it a spot that you absolutely have to visit. I enjoyed it so much that I’m definitely planning on going again!

A must visit in Austin! Make sure you tell Hannah and Seth hello as they are incredible hosts and understand the meaning of authentic hospitality and memory making! Their attention to detail and “drive” pun intended will blow you away. My guys had so much fun we came for multiple days in a row!
