In summary

Blue Boy West Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful and scenic setting, making it a popular venue for weddings and events. Visitors appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff, particularly the owner, Ernie, and enjoy the casual, laid-back atmosphere of the 9-hole course. However, some guests have expressed frustration with the lack of a reliable tee time reservation system and occasional slow pace of play. Despite these issues, the course is considered an affordable and charming option for both golfing and special occasions.

I celebrated my wedding and it’s a beautiful venue, My guests loved the place. I loved the experience at the venue. I loved the scenery and the photos were perfect. It is run by the owners which made the experience more pleasant. Thanks Ernie.

Love this course. It is a small 9 hole with character! Staff is always awesome.

Great course for the price. We love the laid-back atmosphere for a quick 9. The only downside is that it can be hard to know people are still on the course on certain holes, but once you know if there is a group ahead, then you can play slower if needed.

Booked this venue for our wedding. Owner, Ernie answered all our questions, no problem and helped had some really good preferred vendors. Plenty of space for a outdoor set up or indoor. We originally planned it just to be out door, but because a heat wave, we added seating indoor. The venue itself didn't need too much decorations and had more than enough tables and chairs.

Our wedding at Blue Boy West Golf Course was absolutely beautiful! The venue is stunning — the pictures online truly don’t do it justice. The grounds are so charming and scenic, and I fell in love with it the very first time I visited… and then all over again on our wedding day. The owner was wonderful to work with — incredibly flexible, kind, and easygoing throughout the entire process. It made planning so much less stressful and allowed us to really enjoy our day. We received so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous and peaceful the space was. I couldn’t have imagined a more…

Even being crazy busy being Fathers Day this place was super helpful with a small putting/chipping to warm up while you wait. The course was NICE and fun to play. A fare to ride get there but definitely worth it.

Me and multiple people had confirmed Tee times on Saturday (9/13). If you don’t accept Tee time reservations online DONT HAVE IT ON YOUR WEBSITE and my card was charged $10 to hold the Tee time. What’s worse, there were no workers helping. I waited over 15 minutes for a worker to help us and no one ever showed up. So I didn’t get that money refunded. It’s basic customer experience. I have zero sympathy for businesses that treat customers like that.

The course is ok. It's only nine holes and the holes are very short (par 34). A decent golfer could drive the green on many of the holes except that you can't see the green from any of the tee boxes. And when other golfers are around, you can't see if they have left the green or not so you can't go for it. You have to lay up. Fun little course, but they charge the same as other nicer courses.

So it was a good afternoon to go hit a 9. I went onto the website and got a tee time as I have done in the past. I get to the course and there were cars parked by the 3rd hole. With the amount of cars I figured there was a wedding to be held; no big deal. As I drive to park I see 2 tents set up and people lined up opposite the tents. Carts are buzzing all over the place. Weird but ok I figured it’s some tournament or something but maybe it was over? Not sure . I get to the clubhouse and nobody there. A few minutes goes by and a male worker comes in I tell him I have a tee time and he stops me…

I don’t care what everybody else says, for the price you can’t beat this nine hole golf course. Somewhat of a drive from Everett & Seattle but definitely worth it for the practice. They usually keep the green is pretty consistent, but there’s a few brown patches on them but like I said, JUST REMEMBER ITS ONLY $15!! I use this course during the off-season to work on my irons & short wedge game. Don’t mind the donkeys, roosters, horses or dogs making sounds in your backswing! Great little venue to have an affordable wedding as well!

$25 for 18 holes is tough to beat. Not perfect, but fun. My son and I like to go here for a "cheap" round.

This is an update to an earlier 4-star review I gave a few years ago, raising my assesment to five stars. Easily. This has always been a beautiful, fun course set in picturesque rural Monroe, but there has been considerable efforts this season to go the extra mile. Thus, the extra star. The greens and fairways are even more pristine than usual - which is saying something - and the fleet of newer power carts adds to the experience. As always, the atmosphere is casual and accommodating - from owner Ernie and the two clubhouse cats - to the steady flow of regulars and locals who treat the course…
