This one is hard for me because I like the course, but it still needs some improvement. There's a mix of challenging and easier holes. The fairways were in great shape, the greens we okay but not real smooth. The tee boxes were mostly in terrible condition. It has improved since last year. I believe they recently have new owners. People were very friendly and it's a good value. So I would still recommend it. They have a simulator for lessons, rentals, and winter leagues. Snack bar upstairs. There is no range, but two putting greens. One you can work on chipping.

What they have done just in a short period of time is remarkable. Excited to see what it looks like in 2 or 3 years. It takes time and alot needed to be done. Everyone i have met at Black Squirrel and Bent Oak has been friendly, and professional.

RV Overnight stay. Owner was extremely hospitable, allowing us to adjust a tee time to golf simulator. Beautiful golf course.

The only reason I gave 4 Stars is the condition of the rental push carts. I showed up as a walk on and had to rent a push cart and walk. No carts had straps that would hold the bag to the cart. Otherwise the Staff was really friendly. Course was in good shape for the green fee. I would play there again.

So peaceful. Everyone was welcoming and had great golf etiquette. My boys put their lemonade stand up with permission and the staff came out to check on them and even brought ice to them when they ran out.

You can tell that the new ownership cares about what they’re doing here. The course is in great shape and the affordability just can’t be beat anywhere in the area. Fresh new branding and nice care for the course overall. I’ll definitely be back plenty more this season.

Fun course, but is in need of some upkeep. They do a good job of keeping things clean, just really old, unreadable signage, most cart paths are in bad shape. Good price for golf in the middle of town.

Nice course. I've been playing golf for 2 years now, and I've gotten a lot better playing here. the fairways are nice, and the greens are nice too on some holes. The bunkers are a little off having rocks in it and stuff, and it would be nice to have nicer pull carts to rent, but otherwise, it's a great affordable course

We’ve gotta do something about slow play out here. 3 hours for 9 holes bc you’re waiting all day is fun for no one. Older man at the pro shop is rude and clearly overwhelmed. Lot of good work has been done but the operations side is not awesome.

Place has really turned around since new ownership. The previous owner was a great guy, but the state of the course revealed he didn't have a lot of energy for it. I also witnessed some Larimer Green residents taking advantage of the old owner by helping themselves to the course. I hope the new owner is able to keep that from happening, especially considering how competitive the prices are. And the fact that new owner brought back the fireworks is awesome. Great to see a local business giving back to the community.

Nice course. Good selection of tees so challenges for golfers of all levels. I would of given it a 5 but apparently nobody likes to fix ball marks so greens were not so good

We called multiple times 1 weeks b4 our tee time and our buddy called again the day b4 to make sure our 5some "playing scramble to play fast and keep pace" we were pre approved and we drove 1 hour and 40min from Michigan and our other buddy drove 2 hours and we're about to tee off and this guy behind us "super rude" says who approved this 5 some this is not happening and flexed his "im the superintendent here" and ran inside like a little baby and told on us "which" we had this pre-approved multiple times... also we had a tee time for 8:04am and another at 8:12am tee time "we got for 2 tee tim…
