THIS PLACE OOZES HISTORY! First of all, it's a Donald Ross course. Ross has an extensive list of world-class designs. But many of them have been neglected and lost their luster. Beverly CC must have been trending in that direction because they went through an comprehensive restoration. And the end result is outstanding. Whether you are moving through the pro shop or the clubhouse, pictures are everywhere of many of golf's greats, Palmer, Nicklaus, Jacklin...and that's because the course has hosted some of golf's premier events over the years. Once of the great courses in the Chicago area. Bev has a rich history and almost every golfer will enjoy the course. Straight forward with generous fairways and greens that are penal when you miss on the wrong side.

Wow. They cut down a lot of trees. Play golf and expect to see some Chicago celebrities and politicians playing behind those big walls and barbed wire fences. The golf architecture is classic. Old school up and back. A few big bunkers. Severe greens. Only one water hazard. Classic. Imagine JFK and Mayor Daley playing there!
